We moved to Chicago two years ago, and this is the only barbershop we’ve needed since. My old barber back in Omaha recommended this place, and it’s easily the best recommendation she ever gave me. We happily go out of our way every three weeks just to get cut at Old Dog, which says more than any review could. Dan and Colette will get you right every time. Both give a damn good cut, care about what they’re doing, and make the whole experience worth the trip. Great people, great shop, no reason to go anywhere else.

Greg was my barber for years when I lived in Chicago. I no longer live here but I still stop in for a haircut every time I’m in town. Nobody does a cleaner cut than him.

Greg and the crew provide some of the best cuts in Chicago. The atmosphere is super chill, relaxed and friendly. If you are looking for a basic cut, they got you. Something unique? They have that too!

Lovely barber shop. Greg is friendly and more than brilliant in delivering flattops. Horseshoe was something I always wanted to try but got concerns about the suitability for me, before paying a visit to this place. Thanks to Greg, it landed on me in the most beautiful way ever. I’d always visit when I’m in town again.

Truly, Greg is likely the best barber in America. Started going here for flattops for which he is the GOAT but have gotten it all: fades, Mohawks, longer slicks, as well as innovative haircuts that he has come up with to suit my ever changing coiffure needs. Vibes are great, shop is beautiful, and free beer? This place simply can’t be beat.

Highly recommend this place. I hadn’t gotten my haircut in over three months so I was looking pretty scruffy. I booked with Zac and he gave me the exact haircut I wanted, it was perfect. He also was fast, but had so much care and attention to detail. I will now be going back every couple of weeks.

I have received great haircuts from Taylor, Dan, and Zac. However, it doesn't matter who you sit with. Everyone at this shop gives a professional cut and listens to any unique needs you may have. The shop is bright and welcoming along with all the hospitality!

Okay the haircut they give are amazing and the employees there do an amazing job. I really enjoy communicating to them while getting a haircut, they always listen to any suggestions you might have and will help you no matter what. They feel like family and is nice when you want that haircut and a good time at the same time!
