The best haircut and best friend you could ever have from the moment you meet him!

I needed a last minute trim before a meeting and Peter took care of me as a walk in. Highly recommend.

I have a wedding in Chicago this this weekend, and my wife let me know that getting a haircut before we left would have been a good thing! So in a panicking, I found this place because it was around the corner from my hotel. I have a short fade haircut and just needed to be cleaned up around the neck and sides with a little off the top. When I called to make my appointment, the person I spoke to (presumably the owner), without asking any questions, just rudely said "We don't cut women's hair". First, he didn't ask if I was a woman. Second, even though I am, he didn't ask what type of hair I have. I was taken aback. I said to him that I didn't realize his barber skills prevented him from knowing how to cut hair based on what the body looked like under the neck. Very old school and rude. To make matters worse, the reason I even called was because his website specifically says on the homepage "Traditional Haircuts for Men and Women". I hung up with him and went back to the site to make sure I hadn't confused him with someone else. Nope. It says it right their on his homepage. So I called back and asked him to please change his website because it is inaccurate. His reply was not "sorry about that", he just said, "that's 10 years old". I informed him we are living in the year 2024 and any trained, professional, decent barber would be able to cut my hairstyle with no problem. He was totally sexist and ridiculous. Would not recommend based on his character alone.

Called to schedule a haircut with a friend and was immediately informed, “we do not cut women’s hair” based on the sound of my voice, and despite what their website says, “Traditional Haircuts for Men and Women”. What a presumptuous, discriminatory and outdated policy! A modern barber shop should be inclusive and welcoming to all clients, regardless of gender. It's frustrating as hell to encounter such a lack of professionalism and openness. I prefer to keep my hair short, modern, and professional, which some might label as a "men's cut." Is hair suddenly gender-specific?!? This kind of outdated thinking is unacceptable and archaic. Get with the times, Mr. Barber!

Peter is a 100% class act. Those wanting fades and gimmicks, like anyone cares, please go to a fad shop. This man is the real deal. I travel extensively in cities all over the world, and Peter is one of the very best. Want a real haircut, a great experience, and to meet an interesting, class act? Then go to Mr Barber.

Peter is a terrific barber and a great fellow. He'll give you an outstanding haircut, as you want it, and an old-fashioned straight-razor shave if you want that. In addition, he's a terrific person who takes a personal interest in each of his clients. You couldn't find a better barber.
