Maestro was such a great experience. He is very detailed and triple checks his work. I had an out of control long beard and within 45 minutes, I looked like a whole new person. I’m looking forward to going back again in a couple of weeks!

Went in for a beard trim. It’s always daunting going somewhere new but the end result was the best beard trim/shaping/shave I’ve ever had. Perfect results and exactly how I wanted it done. Not too short, cleaned up, and shaped terrific. Definitely recommended!

I made an appointment for my wedding day for myself. I wanted my dad to have an appointment at the same time and noted this in the appointment that I booked for myself. Additionally, I followed up via phone call and text (stated as preferred) several times and did not receive any response.

Mr Bryce, my apologies for your limited way trying to contact me… - checked my phone records and I was unable to hear a vm also I checked my texts and apparently you texted on a non work day also considering that weekend I was dealing with a death of a family member. A simple and easy phone call today before you decide to leave a 1 star review could have been beneficial for both of us… enjoy your wedding God bless

I’ve lived in Chicago and gone to Maestros for over 5 years now and am still yet to find someone who does a cleaner skin fade. Please note, I’m picky as hell. Precision is always consistent and the attention to detail is unmatched. If you need a new barber in the downtown area that doesn’t disappoint, you found them.

I came in here looking to get a line-up, last minute. I initially had no appointment but Maestro let me know I could sign myself up for an upcoming opening online. Overall, the cut was great, he is good with the fade, but the atmosphere could be more comforting. All the towels and items make the small space more crowded and there were theater movies on the television screen. On par with the "chaotic" atmosphere, Maestro was taking appointments as he cut. As I have sensitive skin, I'm not a fan of barbers touching their phones then toughing my freshly cut face, but he was courteous and washed his hands. Lastly, I've never in my life paid so much for a cut, but it's on par with the other barbershops in the area. Although, the seem to provide a more relaxed atmosphere. If you're short on time, he'll set you up nice.

MaestroShave is a superb barber shop. I was visiting from out of town for a wedding and needed a haircut and beard trim. I was blown away by the result. The skill and precision of this barber were unbelievable. My hair and beard looked fantastic. I would highly recommend MaestroShave

Been seeing Maestro for 5+ years for my beard and he is hands down the best barber I’ve ever used. When I Ieft Chicago for a few years, I tried finding others in my new state and basically gave up. Now that I’m back to Chicago, I see Maestro every two weeks to keep my beard in top shape. If you’re looking for a precise cut, laser sharp lines, and great shaping/maintenance for your beard… this is your guy. People ask all of the time where I get my beard done, and I’m happy to refer them to Maestro. Six stars if I could!

Best barbershop in River North / Gold Coast! Been here several times just recently and each time i've been more than pleased - can honestly say it's one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Maestro takes his time, doesn't rush anything and has an incredible touch. Highly recommend!!

Maestro provides a great barbershop experience! I’ve been coming here for 3 years, and he is always incredibly precise and detail-oriented when he cuts my hair. Prior to my haircuts, he offers refreshments and provides comfortable chairs to sit in. I also really like his online booking system, as it’s very easy to make appointments. Overall, I always leave very satisfied with my cut!

I have been coming to Maestro since I moved to Chicago over 3 years ago. He is the best barber I've ever had. I originally found him when I lived in the neighborhood, but continue coming back even after I relocated. The shop is super clean and very inviting, and the cuts are great. They have done a fantastic job on my hair and with my beard and the quality is as good as when I first started coming. Additionally, the shop is taking great care with COVID-19 precautions. Highly reccomend this spot.
