Mr. Mo was an exceptional teacher during my 2 yr old haircut. He and the barber SKY collaborated for a good looking cut on my little one by been versatile not only using clippers, but shears & scissors to calm his nerves and not upsetting to his ears. I highly recommend this location of Larry’s Barber 💈 College. To any toddler, boy, lad, teen, adult who is in need of a haircut with professionalism and class .

I got to be honest, I went here because my regular barber was not available. I must say I had a good experience. It was organized chaos I know that sounds bad, but i sincerely don't mean it that way. It just comes with the territory when you are dealing with young men and women who are growing in there adult hood. The staff does a excellent job setting the tone and given directives in a very nurturing environment. I got to give a shot out to Lead instructor Mr. Muhammad. I wanted a certain type of fade that the young man cutting my hair was not familiar with and Mr. Muhammad gave him instructions on how to achieve the method, and the young man did a excellent job on my haircut. I know this post was legnthy, but i got to give credit where credit is due. Keep up the good work Larry's Barber College. Your existance is vital to the community!!!!

I heard about the free cuts on the last Tuesday of each month, so I stopped in and hoped for the best. My barber exceeded my expectations and gave me one of the smoothest and cleanest cuts I’ve received anywhere in a long time. It was obvious to me that they took their craft seriously. I will definitely be back!

My most recent visit was successfull. Along with a very nice haircut. I personally would recommend any individual that visits this establishment to consider getting a regular haircut. This barbershop cuts haircuts very well.

I’ve supported this Brand and business ( both locations on the south side) for over 10 years and I totally understand the way and how things work however yesterday’s experience was horrific and traumatic. I don’t understand how a student can be on the floor cutting and not know what a basic taper is versus a bald fade. Even if the student wasn’t the master or even great at fading the basic idea of knowing which cut is which should be day 1 before they even start on the floor. When I addressed the situation with an instructor he defended the idea and made it my fault by saying I should’ve explained what a taper is….🤷🏽, I should’ve explained and taught that? I left embarrassed and confused and traumatized and made it home to call up there and was basically disregarded and dismissed like I was the problem…. I know and understood my loyalty and business meant nothing so I def won’t ever support the business again and makes you turned off from supporting black businesses period. We lack respect and integrity as long as we making the almighty 💵 we feel why change for the better. Most importantly what and when are you all teaching them and does a man over 20 years old not know what a taper haircut is when that’s the cut he had. Save yourself and go and support Success Barber School!!!

I’ve been bringing my kids here for about a year now. I’m a biological, foster and adoptive dad. One day the clerk and I got to talking and she realized these weren’t my birth children. She had compassion on our family and gave my kids free cuts. On this particular day money was really tight and I’m not sure if I mentioned that or not, but it was a huge blessing. The barbers are patient with my boys, who. An sometimes be rambunctious. I’ll be coming here for quite some time. They know us now, and I am glad I can bring my kids to a shop where there is no profanity or inappropriate images displayed. It’s very profession, yet still has that comfortable, southside barbershop feel.
