If you're looking for a clean cut, retwist, hair installs, I highly recommend AO. She truly is in a league of her own. Some could honestly call her a jack of all trades. Her attention to detail with haircuts is unmatched and she always knows exactly how to bring the look I want to life. When it comes to retwists, she’s just as talented. She’s gentle, fast, and my locs always come out neat, tight, and looking brand new. On top of that, she also is capable of installing hair extensions which is a plus. She’s consistent, talented, and genuinely cares about her craft. If you’re looking for someone who can do it all — cuts, retwists, and extensions — she got you. Trust.

If you didn’t know Kenny Mac is that guy.. well just know you’ll find out. Top barbers in Chicago here and if you need that cut with confidence he’s the guy. Went to him before my wedding and he made sure I was ready for my big day!

I live in Uptown, so I figured I'd check out Kenny Mac's one day. Rob, Tree, and everyone in there have the best personalities and are incredible at what they do, but Zay is my go-to guy. I've been getting cut by Zay for a few months now and he gets me right every single time. You can't beat the service, the vibe, or the quality of the cut for the price.

The vibe of the place, the barbers were excellent. Treehouse made me look like a million bucks, my girl especially liked my cut and beard trim. Everyone was welcoming and interacting with each other and the customers. Honestly it had that neighborhood barbershop feel I have been looking for.

Just got my haircut at Kenny Mac’s Barbershop in Chicago and when I say it’s TEA, I mean it. I was cut by Kenny Mac himself (the owner), and wow… this is hands-down the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. Super clean, sharp, and perfectly tailored to my head and face. You can tell he really knows his craft and takes pride in what he does. The vibe in the shop is solid, professional, and welcoming. I walked out feeling confident as hell. I’m 100% coming back — Kenny Mac officially got a new regular.

Great barbershop with a true home-away-from-home vibe. The shop is welcoming, clean, and full of positive energy. The barbers are professional, skilled, and take their time to make sure you leave looking sharp. You’re never rushed, and the conversation and atmosphere make the experience even better. Kenny Mac’s Barbershop continues to be a place that centers around community, excellence, and peace. I continue to be amazed by the warmth and talent of the entire staff. Special shoutouts have to go to Kenny Mac himself, who tackles hair as an art. Kenny’s passion for his craft shows in how precise he is with each of his clients, and his ability to build rapport with every customer, new and familiar. Definitely recommend this place if you want a high-quality and affordable barbershop!!

I booked an appointment with Kenny Mac himself and I was pleasantly surprised. He was very welcoming and open with life and discussion. He was listening with great intent and care in the consultation prior to the cut, which let me know from the start I was in good hands. We had a great conversation and I walked away feeling better than I had before, and not just because of the amazing free hand technique styled-hair cut but because of the great connection and warm vibes Kenny and his crew offer. The Haircut itself was amazing. We joked that we should have taken a before and after photo but we just got swept up in the conversation. I have always been somewhat disappointed with the haircuts I’ve had in the past by other barbers. However, I can honestly say I walked out of Kenny’s feeling a lot more confident. I will definitely be going back.
