We apologize for the experience! We want nothing but the best for our clients, if there's a way to do better we want that for you so let us know what we could do to improve your experience if you ever are in town nearby again. Many people have been coming for years as its a staple to the city and we always are looking to be the best at what we do.

Now, this shop is a tourists spot ,but aside from the photos and memorabilia you never really think of it like that! Everyone’s always talking and welcoming. I went in with my boyfriend for a shaping and lining because my hair is a curtly Afro and it’s also kinda shorter in the back and don’t really trust traditional stylists for lining and shape ups. I always get a PERFECT shape here . But anyway, it’s a great place but I had to write this review because on one random Tuesday in December , I’m getting my hair shaped … and in walks… President Barack Obama… OBAMA!!😱everyone became so quiet initially lol, it was crazy! Anyway, great place

I’m a bit biased as a Hyde Parker and such but this is the best place for a cut! If you cherish your lining, want a clean cut and flexible hours., this is the place! It’s even open on SUNDAYS! That’s my favorite day to go

Nice place, nice guy. Got me in on short notice. However, I would say they are less experienced at working with finer longer hair. Personally disappointed but appreciate the effort.

First of all it’s Sunday so thank you Hyde Park for being open my baby was looking rough I refused to allow him to go to school looking like that. The first barber to the left whose name Is AC (yes like air conditioner lol) made us feel welcomed don’t know me from Adam and Eve the wait wasn’t too long and he is very passionate about football 🏈 lol 😂 he kept stopping in hopes that the Bears would get that final point. Lol 😂 (they didn’t) I showed him a picture of what I wanted his lining to look like and he was able to do it !!!!( you don’t know how many shops I’ve gone to from not being able to get a walk in with his original barbers 💈 that just give him a regular lining I like the tapered lining look, but he was able to accomplish it the price wasn’t bad and I tipped him because I appreciated him he welcomed my son asked how he was doing gave him a high five, and all. That’s what you call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, barber shops now a days smells like marijuana or they smoking in the shop this shop DID NOT, so I was thankful. The atmosphere was calm, my baby eyes was getting low sitting in the chair so I know he felt comfortable, he cried the last time we had to quick go get a hair cut from a place on 95th western, because the man was fading his hair too hard! This place is clean and looks really nice, parking wasn’t too bad for a Sunday either I got a spot right in front after one good spin around looking for a park. I’m going to ask my son how he felt about it and see if he wants him to be his new 💈 barber ? I’ll keep you posted on his review but so far he’s looking faded and ready for school!

This was my second visit to this barbershop. I loved my son first hair cut, so I decided to go back. The guy works in the first seat to left of the barbershop(I forgot his name) cut his hair, but he was not there today, so I took a chance on someone else, since I leave town in the morning. Aleem as his barber today. When I tell y’all he did whatever to my son hair and didn’t care…it’s beyond me. I AM SO UPSET!!! I never leave reviews on bad service, but how he treated me today was unreal. It actually hurt my feelings. When I told him it looked bad and I was unhappy with how far he pushed his hairline back, he didn’t even respond, try to make the situation better or anything. He literally said nothing,m. He sat down and start eating his fruit. He already charge more than the other guy, but that was okay, then he had to nerve to cut in in 10mins and just do whatever. He would have never did that if I was guy. I told him what I wanted and he said he could do it. I was wondering how he cut my son hair within 10mins and it was because he just cut all his hair off and pushed his hairline far back. I asked him to line him up so he can have the crisp look, he just damn near cut his hair straight across. I’m so mad typing up this review that I can barely type it. If you a female and you don’t know him, DO NOT let him cut your child’s hair. I’m beyond disgusted and disappointed in how I was treated. The other barbers are not like that though. They do a damn good job and their customer service is good. The one with the locs and the other guy that have the chair directly next to him are awesome. I can’t speak on everybody, I’m sure they are good too, but that Aleem guy, you should be ashamed at how you did me and my son.

They overall seem like nice people. However, the quality of the cuts are DEFINITELY not worth the price they charge. I’ve had my haircut here about 7 times and the quality ranged from Bad - OK. The haircut you get can be drastically damaged by any of their barbers as they are clearly not all at the same skill level, with only a couple decent barbers, and the majority not seeming to care too much about the craft. I’ve also come out of the chair a number of times with my hair length being uneven and having to go back the same day and get it recut (and still be charged!). I’ve since resorted to going out further in the city and gotten much better haircuts and experience at the same price points.

I really wanted to like this place. It’s small, cute, and local. But they absolutely butchered my hair. I came in during the earlier hours of the day without an appointment. I was told to just sit and wait; but, after about 40 minutes, it seemed like I wasn’t making any progress, so I made an appointment for a later time in the day and came back a few hours later. Off the bat, I wasn't in the chair until 30 minutes after my scheduled time. Then, once I sat down, all I said I wanted was a short trim of just half an inch off the top and roughly a quarter inch off the side. They cut at least a full inch off everywhere. Not only that, but they cut the hair so short that the sides of my head were the same lengths as my sideburns, and you could see the skin through the hair, while the top was left thick, so that the whole cut resembled a poorly done mullet. Mind you I had pretty decently long hair before this, and I had never seen my hair this short it my life after hundreds of haircuts with the same instructions. The cherry on top was that I was charged $50, with no indication anywhere in the store of price prior to the haircut being finished. I’m sorry, but 1 star is the best I could possibly justify giving this place.
