I came in today to get a pretty basic haircut and provided photos of myself as a reference. This was easily the worst haircut experience I’ve ever had. The barber did not listen or pay attention to the photograph and proceeded to take a buzzer to the top of my head, essentially giving me a buzzcut when I asked for a few inches to remain on top. I was faced away from the mirror the entire time so there was no way for me to check in real time. We ended up having to go full buzzcut because it was unfixable. To top it off, I had to prepay for the cut through their booking service so not only did I not get what I paid for, I was charged $10 more than the price listed in the shop. Stay away if you don’t already use this shop.

My partner had a very poor experience today. He asked for his beard to be lined but not shortened, and his mustache to be untouched. Both of these requests were directly contradicted. In addition, he asked for the front to be shortened only slightly, but ended up with much more cut off than he wanted. He is distraught, and I am very disappointed that he was treated with such apathy.

Easily the worst lineup I’ve ever gotten. Mediocre taper on top of that. $50 cut and it was $50 too much.

Great barbershop to get bald fade or shape up to your Afro. Does great job with beard trim and goatee trim. Easy to schedule an appointment all barbers are always willing to help and friendly. All of them can chop so you’re in good hands and you’ll have waves. The ladies will love your fresh cut run to this business and patronize these great guys

After speaking with DeAndre the day before (he's the one that answered the phone when I called); I explained to him that my 4 year old grandson was special needs and if he or any barber there would be good with him. He went on to do a lot of talking about cutting kids' hair and how it shouldn't be too long for them to sit and so on but having a nephew with autism, he knew all about it. Booked and fast forward to my 4 year old in DeAndres chair. After two minutes of him starting the cut, my grandson slightly turned his head and the barber got agitated...I mean..immediately. my grandson was being still, he BARELY moved! Everything he barely moved, the barber just stopped and stared at the back of his head. I was like uh try to be still, Man. The barber kept stopping and looking like my grandson knew what he wanted. He was like you might have to hold him because he won't be still. He was very still! I finally told this barber to speak to him because he understands English. He knicked him in his neck and my grandson cried out 'OW' and the barber gruffly goes 'HOLD YOUR HEAD DOWN'...not excuse me or sorry. He was so impatient and did all that talk the day before just to secure the job I guess, when he could've referred me to one of the other barbers that were doing great with kids in their chair. He started to try to act friendly at the end and I'm proud of myself for not snapping on him like I wanted to..I had to pre-pay so he was gonna finish. The cut was really nice other than him taking too much off. Other than that, the cut was real clean and my grandson sat like a CHAMP. I wanted to support this black business after looking at the website and reading about the founder, but i wont be back. If you or your kid can sit like a statue, I recommend DeAndre for a crisp cut.

First off, I hardly ever write any reviews. Would not recommend this place, staff came off as kind of rude to me aside from the person cutting my hair. I arrived probably more than a hour early for my appointment. Most of the barbers seemed booked but I noticed there was one guy throughout all of the time I was there who seemed to not have any clients at all, but never offered to cut my hair. Instead he sat there eating and on his cellphone. Overall was just glad to get a cut, but will definitely not be back especially for for almost 30 dollars

The reviews don't lie. Mr. Leaks is the man – you can't go wrong with him! I told him the look I was going for and mentioned some of the problems I usually have after haircuts, given the way my hair parts, and he gave me an awesome cut. Very happy with it, and it's been super easy to maintain. Also just a really nice guy. Highly recommended.

Very nice shop friendly barbers. This was my first visit I found the shop to be relaxed, clean and very decent environment. My 12 year old son and myself got a cut from Mr. Leaks. He did a fantastic job. I really.like how he did my son's low top tapered fade. My cut was great too and he did an excellent job trimming and shaping my beard.

I booked an appointment with Mr. Leaks via the app Booksy ( very user friendly) The shop had a great atmosphere... I was immediately greeted by the entire barber staff when I walked through the door. Mr. Leaks, one of several professional barbers, took the time to clarify what barber services I requested. He explained exactly what he was going to do and why he was doing it. As a new resident of Chicago, I will definitely be returning for future haircut services.

This was my first time at this barbershop I was in search for a new barber I'm really picky on who I let cut my hair. So whoever I have my eye on I have to do real good research on them and that person was Mr.leaks. He was amazing and super professional and I really like the atmosphere throughout the shop. I was really impressed with the haircut he gave me it looked better then what i seen on the pictures!!!!😂😂😂. Mr.Leaks has great skills and good people skills and I will be visiting him again!!!
