I came in after a really poor haircut from another place the day before uneven, choppy, and far too short in spots simply a 1/10 cut. My beard was also misaligned. With an important business meeting just hours away, I needed a reliable fix immediately. Mimi handled my hair with great skill and patience, spending a full hour correcting the issues through careful blending and shaping. She delivered a clean, professional look that exceeded what I thought was possible on such short notice. I thought we might have to shave it all to get it fixed. Then Alberto did an excellent job on my beard, a precise line up and some grooming that tied everything together perfectly. The shop at 936 W Diversey Pkwy has a relaxed yet professional atmosphere, and the team clearly prioritizes quality work don't forget the free coffee!!!

I am new to the neighborhood and was looking to get my hair cut for the first time in almost 3 months. My hair is super thick, curly, and can be hard to style for a lot of people. My husband and I were just walking by and decided to try out this new place by the brown line. I worked with Mimi and it was a really lovely experience. She brought a really fun energy and made me feel good the entire time, all the while being laser focused on all the alignment and details of my beard. They have an online booking system and various packages. Also, the music was really nice and added to the experience in the shop. I really recommend Mimi and would come back. I would definitely recommend Barber Rocks.

Mimi did an unbelievable job. I hadn’t had a haircut in over 3 months and needed both my hair and beard cleaned up prior to a valentines dinner with my girlfriend. I couldn’t have asked for a better haircut. Mimi did a great job being careful with my beard, as well using hot towels. Highly recommend and will be my next exclusive barber in Chicago!

I’ve been a loyal client of Mimi for a while now, and I can confidently say she’s the best barber I’ve ever had.
