I love this place, it's a classic barbershop with the decor, client-barber relationships, and atmosphere. They'll even offer you a beverage while you wait sometimes, it feels like being a regular once you've been a few times. I can't recommend my barber Peter enough!

I get my son’s hair cut here. Kids care a lot about their hair, and we’ve been to a lot of barbers. This is where we will get his hair cut from now on. Three haircuts in and he looks like a million bucks. They have a great eye for what works for the individual, and the skill to execute it. There are cheaper barbers, but if you really care about what your hair looks like, this place is well worth it.

I walked into the shop with a forehead so vast that could host a solar farm. Most barbers would hesitate. Some might even call for backup. But not Ray. In no time, Ray carved out a clean, confident look that somehow made my expansive dome feel like a feature — not a flaw. If your hairline’s been on a slow retreat or you’re just blessed with some extra frontal real estate, this is the place. Great cut, great vibes, and no forehead left behind. 5/5

I've been getting my hair cut here for about 4 years and made the drive up even when I lived in south city. Never had (or even seen) a bad cut come out of here the whole time, because their standard is so high. Lauren has rescued me from a multi-month shag before I've been a groomsman in a friend's wedding at least five times with a perfect cut for the timing, my head, and even the product I was using, but everyone I've had a cut from exceeded expectations. Worth it every time!

Lauren might be the best barber I've ever had my hair cut by. After moving to San Jose, I don't mind driving 1 hour just to get an appointment with her. Totally recommended.

Great experience, worth the extra cost. In fact, they may be undercharging for this level of work, tbh. Hot towel and straight razor finish. Low stress, and very skilled. Put me at ease with their friendliness and competent attitude. As someone visiting from a remote town in Minnesota, going around the bay area is always a little bit out of my comfort zone. So it was a godsend getting an amazing haircut in a down to earth shop.

Just had my first cut here- what a great find! Everyone who works there is fun, familiar, and extremely talented and knowledgeable. Plus there’s shop dogs. Thank you Ray- great conversation and the cut looks great! Lauren- you’re awesome, don’t ever change! This is my new barbershop.

Took my teenage son here today because he had no idea what to do with his outgrown curly hair. Ray did a beautiful job and I appreciate that he enlisted Lauren’s help when he was unsure what to do with his spiral curls. It made my son relax and he’s super stoked with the way he looks. (And mom’s happy to see his face again.)

I recently visited this barber shop for the first time, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. Not only did I walk out with a great haircut, but I also had a wonderful conversation about dogs. The shop itself is well-maintained and has a classic, old-school feel to it. The barbers are skilled and take their time to ensure that you're happy with the end result. They're also friendly and easy to talk to, which is a huge plus in my book. During my visit, I happened to overhear that the barbers were talking about dogs. She started asking me questions about what kind of dog I was interested in, and we ended up having a lively conversation about different breeds and their personalities. I really appreciated that my barber took the time to chat with me about something the bay can be a less than friendly place. Overall, I highly recommend this barber shop to anyone in the area. The skillful haircuts and friendly conversation make for a great experience.
