I've been here about four times now and have had my hair cut by three of the barbers there. Overall, I've had a great experience with my haircuts and I'm pretty picky when it comes to getting my haircut. So yes I do have some complaints, but of the half dozen or so barbershops I've tried in the Bay Area it is my favorite.

Amazing quality cuts and exceptional customer service. Everyone is so friendly and love the atmosphere, so cool that my boys can play chess and hang out, such a cool place. Definitely our new barbershop from now on, and Ernest was awesome.

People here are hilarious folks who bring culture. It’s your standard black owned barbershop which I love. My first cut here was great, and my second cut was WAY off from what I wanted. Now I’m stuck waiting for my hair to grow back. Great spot to get your standard cut, but I’d be cautious about who in the shop is cutting your hair if you’re looking for something complex or want to stay on the longer hair side for a cut. I probably won’t be back next time to give other folks in the area a chance. Cuts here are $40, which I don’t mind paying, but is also a bit pricey for me, especially after tip. Communication on what you want needs to be made clear to the barber, or you might end up with something you don’t want. If you know what you want, be strict, and be careful with suggestions from your barber. Other than that, you’ll be good here. I will most likely come back eventually.

I took my mom over to get her head shaved due to chemo. They where the most welcoming, sweet, and funniest people ever. I will be coming back again and again for my boys. But I highly recommend them. Their work is amazing.
