Hog's breath looks to be Asian owned and operated. Their prices are fair ($20 regular haircuts / $25 for fades and tapers). They have 1 male barber and all the rest are females. I didn't have to wait long and the gal cutting my hair was extremely quick and efficient. I'll definitely try them again.

Price, cash only went from $15 to $20 dollars as of October 1, 2025. That is 33.33% price increase for the same service which is for the most part just barely acceptable. Also, the staff talk in their language the entire time making you feel they are talking about you and laughing loud. Need to be more professional if they want $20 for a fast haircut!

The person who cut my hair was on the video call the entire time. She was getting annoyed when I asked questions and wanted to style different. She was very rude when I asked to trim a little bit more and refused to do it When It came to pay, she just handed my change and moved on while I was trying to tip her. Very bad experience. I hope the management will take a look into this

Got a haircut and a full shave today. I have a thick beard and it's annoying to shave. I stop by once every 3-4 weeks. Candy did a great job today, as they all do. Super happy w the service yet again. I've been coming to this spot for like 5 years. Haven't wanted to do a review because I don't want it to become super busy. I feel brand new every time. It's affordable. They're nice. You'll look good. I appreciate y'all

Hogs Breath Barber does not serve women recovering from cancer!!! Really!??my hair never grew back in evenly. I usually visit a barbershop in Oakland but with the excellent reviews, thought I would try. Shame on you Hogs breath. You could easily see I had a grown out fade. If you know someone recovering from chemo, please boycott this shop.

Have been a loyal customer for years. Went in yesterday and got a haircut/beard trim and the lady cut my chest hair at the end very inappropriately which I did not ask for and my chest now looks messed up and uneven and is stubbly. I will not be returning and feel a little violated tbh.

This review is based on my experience on May 25,2025. I walked in around 11am to 12 noon. The place was not that busy. I observed later on that all the barbers knew english but when I went to check in I was unable to understand any of them as none of them spoke clearly. They were talking among and joking among themselves in Chinese or mandarin. I do not have a problem in them conversing amongst themselves but when they receive a customer they have to ensure proper check in. I was attended by the one male stylist in the saloon. He would not listen patiently and would just list to the first sentence and was doing the hair cut as he pleased. Next I was so disappointed in the beard trimming. Not only he cut skin in three places of my neck but he gave a very terrible trim. I wanted a #2 all over my beard and mustache but the stylist started zeroing my mustache under my nose. The skin scratch is still burning. See picture. The place is super clean and spacious. This would definitely be a good place if the stylists there would be more serious about their jobs and more serious and understanding with their customers needs. Lastly please have the ability to take in cards. All the very best.

Awesome deal $15 in 9/2023 cash for men’s haircut. Cannot be beat. Love simple fade (1)and trim on top. (Level 0 fade is $20). Prompt service. No wait when I went Sunday 2pm. But that varies pending customers. Thorough job, not rushed. Attention to detail. Forget the ridiculous places charging 35 - 50 for a men’s cut.

It's the best place you can cut your hair for the price you'll pay. I have been in many other fancy barbershop where they charge you huge amounts of money for cutting your hair. Hog's Breath Barbershop won't be as fancy and well decorated BUT the will cut your hair exactly as you want for a very reasonable price.
