By far the best haircut I’ve ever received in my life! I’ve been going to the same place for 15 years and decided to make the switch to somewhere new. I had never been in a barbershop before so I was nervous trying somewhere new. Needless to say I’ll never go back to my old place again! 1st choice is now the only place I’ll ever get a haircut at! The service, hospitality, quality and atmosphere is amazing and truly unmatched. You don’t feel like just another customer you feel welcomed and at home. And I don’t think my hair has ever looked this good in my life, not even exaggerating. Russell did an incredible job and I’m now a life long customer. If you’re looking for the best haircut experience around this is your place for sure!

Elan is hands down the best barber. Every time I come in, he gets me exactly right clean, sharp, and consistent. He takes his time, pays attention to the details, and the cut always looks great even days later. Super professional, great vibe, and you can tell he really cares about his work. If you want the best cut, book with Elan you won’t regret it.

Been going to 1st choice for several years, Dasha is the beat, it feels like family. Do yourself a favor and get a shave with your haircut. Just started this routine and wish I had a long time ago. Dasha does a great job on my hair, the 30 minutes plays on a shave is the one of the best parts of the month.

Isaak is probably the best barber I’ve ever been to. I used to go to the barbershop all the time, but then stopped to cut my own hair. Got pretty good at it, knowing exactly what I want. After about 10 years, I finally went back to a barbershop and realized I had no idea what to ask for or what to say. I gave him a vague description and he went 2/2 both times I went in the past couple months, cutting and styling exactly how I envisioned. Will be going back.

Best barbershop by far. Tried every barbershop in the area and some in Phoenix and this one is great. Feels like an actual barbershop and haven’t had a bad haircut yet, regardless of who I see. Definitely recommend it and the membership.

I schedule with Russell every time I get a trim. I'm sure the rest of the crew are great. I have a great experience with Russell and have been coming here for over three or four years. I'm pleased every time ans I feel fully confident when I walk out. Thank you.!!!

I've been going to 1st Choice on 67th avenue for many years - the owner Russel is my main barber. He has always done a great job. All are very friendly and the shop is well maintained. Today (Wednesday) I needed a haircut, so I went to Russel's new shop on 83rd, since I think Russel works there on most Wednesdays. As nice as the first place and a bit larger. Overall, I highly recommend 1st Choice at either location.

We’ve been seeing Ella at 1st Choice Barber for years, and she’s consistently fantastic! She always takes the time to offer great haircut recommendations, and we’ve never walked away with anything less than a perfect cut. What really sets the shop apart is the welcoming vibe—our kids love playing chess and checkers while they wait, which keeps things relaxed and easy for the whole family. This barbershop is on a different level. I’ve tried so many places until here. I refuse to go anywhere else. They let you control your own personal TV while they take care of you. They offer beverages to enjoy at the same time. More importantly, you can tell every single person that works there is well trained and genuinely passionate about paying attention to every single detail and providing the perfect barber experience. Dasha takes care of me and I have never had a better experience in my life, and she’s repeatedly offered that same experience time after time again. There is a reason this place only has certain days and times they allow walk ins and it’s because they operate by appointments. This is what makes sense when they put as much time and effort into the service as they do. The walk in days are awesome as well, but do not complain if there’s a timely wait because these folks are more concerned about giving you the hair cut of a lifetime rather than moving people in and out the door as fast as possible. Kudos to what Russell has built here. It’s truly incredible.
