Hello Everyone. This is Mike and Kandie. Unfortunately, as of May 31th Westgate Barber permanently closed as Chris retired. But we've moved to a new location close by. Here is our new address. Narrows Barber 7008 6th ave Tacoma, WA 98406 It is on 6th ave right across from Pao's Donuts. We will be open on June 5 Monday Mike : Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm Kandie : Wednesday to Friday 9am - 6pm

Started getting my hair cut here in 2001. Currently live on the other side of the state, but just started bringing my son here when we visit. They've been the best shop in Tacoma for decades.

Westgate Barber is among the best! Mike has been helping me with my haircuts for years and always get what I ask for. I have referred many people, and they continue to give wonderful feedback! Super friendly, very professional. If you haven't visited yet, you're missing out!

Candy gave me one of the best hair cuts I've had in a long time. Price is good at 17.00 totally worth it. I was a walk-in and it was so worth it. Stop by or call to make an appointment. Very friends and super good at hair cuts. Definitely a return visit! Thx Candy!

I've been going to Westgate Barber Shop for probably 25 years or more. My biggest complaint about barbers is that they don't listen to my preferences and I end up tolerating their work more than appreciating it. That is definitely not the case here. I almost always get my preferred barber but once in a while, my barber is not available and I end up in a different chair. It's always been a good cut. I recommend this shop without hesitation. They are often available even for dropins.

I have been getting my haircut here for 15 years now and I have never left this barber with a bad cut. Mike is my go to guy! I rave about him all the time and have sent numerous people to him. He’s is detailed and cleans you up really good after he is done. I will never go anywhere else for my haircut!

Been getting my haircut here for years. Candy is great at what she does and has become a dear friend. I highly recommend this place for a great haircut and a family atmosphere. Hope they stay in business forever.

Excellent service from Chris, Candy or Mike. I use Chris unless she's not available on the day and time I'm looking for. Thou Candy and Mike also do an excellent job as well. Only down side is appointment's are the rule unless you luck out and one of the barbers is currently available.

Hubby went in once again for his bi yearly haircut and "facial mow". In goes Shaggy and out comes Mr Handsome. Woohoo!! They actually have a great crew and take walk ins. They do a thorough job, great hair cuts - very affordable!! Nice, new location, too.

Two things to note. This store is inside westgate mall near the blockbuster entrance. It is cash only. My haircut usually involves a simple clean look with a small fohawk on top and every place I go to somehow screws it up. I usually find that it takes two weeks for my haircuts to look decent. Now for the review; this is one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. The hair looks great right out of the shop, no two week 'grow in' period required. It costs $18 for a haircut and $8 for a shave. This is a small barber shop, nothing fancy to look at. You won't get a free coffee or high end leather chairs. What you get is a genuine male barber shop; they are the only place that I've been to that still use a straight edge razor! My haircut literally makes me feel more alive. The attention to detail was beyond what I expected, the barber must have changed blade sizes 6 times! I live on the other end of the city and I'll definitely make my way back here for my haircuts from now on!
