Same thing happened where I scheduled appointment and could not get into building . I called and it went to voicemail after arriving early trying to get in to sit down . I left and went driving and noticed the owner texted me and said that it was a no Show and I would be charged $80 even with my card not even on file anyway. I asked him why he didn’t call back and why he texted me and he made many excuses on how it was my fault I arrived early and he came out at 12:15 when I’ve never been at a barbershop that’s been ran like this ever . He later tells me he has never had issues with customers but looking at reviews he lied . Same issues because he has no communication to customers. God bless ! As he would say

Waste of time! My first time here at this barber. I booked an appointment the same day. I got a message on my phone that the appointment is accepted. When I went to the place,the building had a code, he did not pick up the call so I could not enter the building. Once he came out he was in rush and the dude was so rude. He was trying to act all cool that he does real estate too and is busy. I wasted my time and parking just to find out he cannot accept me. Fix your booking system and know how to run a business and stop wasting people’s time. Poor management!

I've been in Washington for 4 years now. When I first got here, it was very difficult for me to find a barber that I could actually trust to do a good job with cutting my hair. Tasman at Upper Level does it right! By far one of the best barbers in the state and one of the best to ever touch my head! Unless Tas goes somewhere else, he's my barber and the only one I will ever go too! Fades done in under 10 minutes is insane! 🔥🔥🔥

We needed a last minute appointment for my son on a Friday evening. I quickly booked an open slot online and was relieved to have just found anyone. To our pleasant surprise, the environment in the shop was sports themed (my son is a basketball player) and he left with the biggest smile on his face. He said and I quote "Mom, I know I haven't seen a lot in my 10 years but this was the coolest and quickest hair cut I ever got". He now only wants to come here.

Great barber and owner Taz, great vibe, by appointment preferably but that keeps you from having to wait around all day. My son was loving his design that he picked. Can't wait for the new shop to open, my son is excited to come back for another design.

This was the fastest and one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a Washington barbershop coming from the south. I was impressed. And when I say fast, TAZ the Barber can give you a clean precise cut with the spray faster than any barber I’ve been to in the Washington area. And I’ve been too many in my 2 year stay here and they don’t compare. He takes pride in his work and the shop and s state of the art 👌🏾 💈

Very poor customer service the owner is very disrespectful he over charged me what the original price was than he stalked me out side being very aggressive as i was getting in my car he stood there taunting me i was also in uniform i am a United States solider i have never been treated such away in uniform or out very poor customer service and rude very loud and obnoxious i will not be returning and will spread the word of how rude and unprofessional the owner and the employees are ! (The owner is in the green jacket)

I visted upper level because of all the positive reviews, and very clean looking cuts. Atmosphere inside is really chill and friendly. I had my haircut there three times each time I had a worse experience. First time was good clean cut an the barber didn't rush. The second time was alright, the day after I had a nice scab from the straight edge razor on my forhead. Its went away after a few days. The third visit I was in the chair for around 3 mins (no one was even waitting behind me) abit of burning during the cut is normal with the straight edge blade I figured. Showered when I got home and went to bed. Next morning I awake to see just how much he had rushed. When using the straight razor it take some finesse perhaps he was just being overly confidant. The face is the first thing most people notice about a person. I dont want mine to be nicked up again. I wont be back anytime soon.
