Alex is easily one of the best barbers in town. I’ve been going to Big Dawg for a while now and highly recommend it. I even referred a buddy, and now he sees Josh regularly too. Great cuts, great vibes, and an all-around awesome shop.

Josh has been my barber in Tacoma for close to two years now, I go regularly about every three weeks. He took my hair from something I didn’t enjoy to a product that people complimented me on. All while telling me how to get that cut when I had to inevitably move. I had brought friends to get cut by Josh and they felt the same! Alex is just as great a barber and a great conversation in the shop. Always felt welcome! Plus side of being regular was the ability to book appointments on the website 24/7 and reach out to both Alex and Josh in a pinch! Saved me when I forgot what week a wedding was and got me in right before my flight out and everyone complimented my haircut all weekend! Couldn’t say thank you enough for the year of customer service, great conversations, and better haircuts from this shop!

Alex did an absolutely amazing job with my hair. I had previously had an extremely bad haircut and everything did not lineup, which made the task of fixing it extremely difficult. Not only did he fix it, but it was flawless. I left the shop and went to work and had three people immediately comment on how good my hair looked. All of the guys at the shop are super dope. I can’t recommend this place enough

10/10 best barber shop hands down. Josh and Alex are super friendly, welcoming, and the best at what they do. Top tier cuts and great attention to detail, easily the best barbers you could go to.

I’ve been a regular at TACOMA’S BIG DAWG BARBERSHOP for a few years now, and it’s the only place I trust for my haircuts. I recently relocated approximately 40 minutes away, and I continue to make the drive to this shop because no where else can consistently provide the service and product I receive here. The owner, Alex and the other barbers go above and beyond to make sure you get the cut you are looking for. If you are looking for a great haircut this is the place.

Best barbershop in Tacoma hands down! Shoutout to Josh and Alex for the amazing job they do! Not only are they amazing at their craft, they are just awesome dudes to chat with while getting a cut! Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun environment and an even better cut!

Absolutely ridiculous. Been going to alex for a decade. Since he was a little guy with no shop. Now hes a big shot. Perfect cuts everytime. Bring my daughters to him too. Took my girlfriends sons in to get cuts by Joel. Guy Absolutely murdered it. Freshest cuts they've ever had. If I wasnt so straight id have made out with both these barbers. And ive seen Josh kill it in his chair. Basically. If you wanna have the best cut and experience and develop romantic feelings for your barber. Go to the big dawgs. If things dont work out with this amazing woman. Tell Gabby watch out. Im coming for all 3 of you.

Leaving this review for my 81 year old father who has been looking for a good barber for years, and he called me today raving about Joél. My dad was so impressed with his whole experience. My husband saw Joèl at Big Dawg Barbershop, and we had a fantastic experience! Joèl was knowledgeable, kind, and funny, he made us feel comfortable right away. My husband has always dreaded getting his hair cut, but he left feeling himself! He already has his next cut scheduled. We cannot recommend Joèl enough!
