Southpaw is a GEM of a barbershop in West Seattle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Amber, she has many years of experience, is incredibly attentive, kind and skilled. She comes from a family of barbers and her son is the co-owner of the shop. She is so sweet and easy to talk to. She also is great at cutting men’s hair. She gave me a tapered mid fade dropped an it looks excellent. Will absolutely be coming back, she is my new barber for sure.

I don't normally write reviews but I felt I needed to here. I am a easy going wishy washy person. I also can be a bit of a hermit. As such I didn't really know what I wanted to be done with my hair. Amber Mcbride took the time to listen to my rambling and worked with me to make a great cut and even explained how I should describe it in the future. I have never come out of a haircut so happy in the moment with how it turned out and still been happy after living with it for a day. Thank you for the help.

This spot is fresh! Best beard trim I’ve had. Tommy cleaned me up real nice. Super fast and friendly. Most definitely will be back.

So I got a haircut from this place awhile back. It was okay, not my best cut but not my worst. Left a modest review on my other account. Moments after I posted, the owner decided to send me threatening texts, call me and then tried to play it off like it was me that was the problem the whole time. It was the most unprofessional thing I have ever encountered and has bothered me ever since, which is why I’m writing this review. I get there are some not cool people in the world, but you’re a business, not a gang. Don’t trust this guy.

Sam you came in 3 years ago and left a fake review on our page for no reason other than you seem to enjoy attacking other small businesses. I called you to figure out why you felt the need to do so. You then agreed to remove it. Havent heard from you in 3 years or even seen you and you wake up on a random sunday and decide to leave another bad review unprovoked? I pray you find better things to do with your time. 🙏 all the best to you

Southpaw is the real deal. If you’re looking for more than just a haircut, this is the place. Tommy is not only a master of his craft, but also one of the most genuine, down-to-earth people you’ll meet. What sets him apart is his attention to detail. He doesn’t just cut hair, he studies it. He takes the time to analyze your head shape, your hair’s natural growth patterns, and how it all works together to give you a cut that fits you. Every fade, line, and blend is intentional. It’s the kind of precision you can feel and see long after you’ve left the chair. But beyond the skills, it’s the vibe. Southpaw feels more like a family than a shop. You leave looking sharp and feeling better — not just about your hair, but about your day. Do yourself a favor: book the appointment. You won’t want to go anywhere else.

Had some less than stellar haircut experiences in West Seattle until I found Southpaw. Have had my hair cut by Tom and Amber a handful of times and enjoyed the time spend chatting with them and the result. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the shop to a friend.

Best barber shop in Seattle out of everywhere I’ve ever been and will forever be the best. Everyone is super friendly and when I go in there I know I am gonna feel welcomed. Easy people to have a conversation with, and they sure are funny. I really suggest this barber shop. Southpaw is the way to go!

Tommy is the truth! I really don't trust a lot of people with my hair and usually stick to one barber. My usual barber is out of commission currently so I tested the waters. Very glad I found this because Tommy was professional, laid back, very easy to converse with and also got me in and out within 45 minutes. Prices on point, shop vibe on point, and making a friend while getting a cut is pretty rare in Seattle so I'm hyped. Definitely turning into a regular! Really recommend this shop for high skin fades for curly hair 💈💪

Tommy is the best barber in town. My son sat down for a haircut and didn’t budge once and was making him laugh the whole time. 10/10 experience as always!!
