The woman who cut my hair was so lovely, but unfortunately I walked away with one of the worst haircuts of my life and was recommended a product that is not at all compatible with my hair type. I get that this was a “cheaper” option but I am out $131 with a haircut I need to pay to fix and a product I can’t use.

Very happy with my cut from Kaisha. Helped me construct a plan of what I wanted from some basic desiderata and checked in midway to ensure she didn't cut too short. Came out great. Quick and easy, will return. $45 for short cut, plus tip.

Kaisha is wonderful! Thanks for coming in and I’ll pass this along to her.

I am a huge fan of Rudy's and magically found Mykey when searching for a colorist. I received the best haircut and color of my life. They went through my hair meticulously correcting errors from my previous color and giving me the exact cut I asked for, a seemingly impossible mission before. I wont be going to any other colorist in the Seattle area!

I had my first experience. I booked an hour before through their website which is very easy and seamless. There was a tablet to self-check in, easy to navigate. The hairdresser was welcoming, helpful, and definitely skillful. Recommended!

I came here many many times (before I was bald) and I always had a great experience. The stylists are friendly and always worked with me to find the right style. They also provided me a beard trim a few times, which was a nice touch.

The haircut was nice but the attitude on the phone with one of the barbers was so annoying and behavior of some of the staff make it a hard return, I was charged for a friend’s cancellation as well as asked for a buzz it but was charged for a short haircut (my hair was under an inch) practices are shady and not what’s to be expected as a first time customer. You stole my money from me for a service that wasn’t even for me and didn’t even bother to ask. Won’t be back

I had a "first available" appointment booked because their website is awkward and makes you select individual stylists to determine their schedule. I arrived 10 minutes early and was greeted with "she is running behind and it might be an extra 15-20 minutes". Understandable, I wait. There are 2 people that come in after me and they all had haircuts start while I'm sitting there (my stylist accepted one before me). There is another stylist just sitting in a chair for 20 minutes that later had someone walk in to cut their hair. The final minutes of my time there... I politely walk up and ask about a time when I might be seen because I had been there for 45 minutes. The person at the desk said "I don't know but let me check". I got frustrated because obviously they don't know how to manage their time and requested to just cancel. Their response, "I understand. It just be like that sometimes, I'll make sure you're not charged". I now understand why this place can barely manage a 4.0 rating. I'd avoid this place at all costs.

I go to the Rudy’s in West Seattle by my home and have always had good experiences. I had an appointment in the Fremont area with work in a couple hours so I called into this location to see if they could get me in before work. They said they could get me in at 11:30 which worked for me. I arrived 10 minutes early as I do to everything and checked in. 11:30 rolls around and nothing, totally fine. 11:35 rolls around and still nothing, again not too concerned. 11:40 rolls around and I go to politely check in and make sure they know I’m scheduled for 11:30, he lets me know my barber is “finishing up”. I say, “Awesome, no worries”. I don’t get called back until 11:55, almost half an hour after my scheduled appointment to which I deny due to the fact I have to be somewhere. “I’m not going to have time, I was scheduled 30 minutes ago” were my exact words. I didn’t get an apology but I did get a passive aggressive attitude from my barber as if I was in the wrong for being upset. For a shop charging $30 for people being 5 minutes late, you’d think they’d be timely with their procedures. Looks like they only care when they’re the ones making money from late fees. If you have a working job in the city, are punctual with your arrivals, and expect punctual service, this is not the spot for you.

I have been a customer at Rudy's for quite a while and it's sad to say that this time around was probably the worst haircuts I have ever received. It was my first time to this location (Fremont) and Devonna G. was my stylist/barber. I started at 11:30 am as per my appointment time and was done with checkout by 11:52 am. I dont understand how they completed the haircut along with a hair was in about 20 minutes, which historically has taken 30-40 minutes. I felt that they did not pay attention to the natural flow of my hair and was super careless while cutting my hair. I came home to find out after a shower that the cut is really uneven and I have random hair standing straight/spiking out of my scalp. The finishing is also uneven throughout the hair. I'm just really not happy with the haircut today. Please avoid this location if you identify as a non-native American male. Maybe they do a better job for others? The only positive thing out of this is that I got my hair “cut” short because I was in need of one and could not find an appointment at my regular Rudy’s location.

I’m sorry it has been a bit since your review and my response. I just came in as manager.

I understand that you desire to have the full 30 minutes. Our stylists cut on the 20 and 30 usually. About 20-25 minutes in to a 30 min haircut the stylist should be done or almost done, and as we at Rudy’s take sanitation very seriously, we like to make sure our stations and chairs are squeaky clean. That takes some minutes to complete.

I’m very sorry that you felt rushed.

Rudy’s is very serious about racism, and I would like to know more about your experience. Please contact when you can.

Donna Raphael
Manager @ Fremont
Donna.raphael@rudysbarbershop.com
