Jimmy was awesome. Great cut and great conversation. My hair’s long (14 inches curly) and I wasn’t sure as a barbershop how it’d go, I didn’t wanna go to a salon. The cut was excellent and so was the beard trim. I’ll be going back.

Rain City Barbershop is hands down one of the best in West Seattle! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and laid-back, but still very professional. The barbers really take their time to listen to what you want and make sure you walk out with a cut that fits your style perfectly. The attention to detail is top-notch, and you can tell they take pride in their craft. I also appreciate how clean and comfortable the shop is, with a modern yet classic barbershop feel. I came in for a beard trim (which turned out great) and asked if the barber could also do a hair trim. He said “no problem.” Unfortunately, it was a huge problem. I lost over 8 inches of hair that I’ve been growing for years, and it’s now uneven, choppy, and completely butchered. My hair barely goes into a ponytail anymore, and that’s how I wore it daily. I’ve since had two stylists look at it and they couldn’t believe it was done by a trained barber—it’s that bad. To top it off, there was no steam towel, no CBD oil, no wash—none of the grooming perks they advertise or that you’d expect when paying top dollar and tipping generously. The guys were nice and the convo was cool, but the service was not it. If you care about your hair, especially long hair, I’d strongly suggest going elsewhere.

Writing a review on behalf of my fiance's haircut, THANK YOU! He's never looked so good 😆 since we moved here almost a year ago, he's tried so many barbers but finally found the one. He looks like he's lost 10lbs and 5 years younger. Thank you Percy!!! Plus he said your customer service was phenomenal and you actually know how to handle a beard properly!

This is a great place to gift a hair cut, razor shave or general beard trim for your significant other. I took my young-adult son for a haircut and beard trim (they have a Tuesday special). Our barber totally got what he wanted and he looks like a brand new person! I stayed during the cut because I found a good parking spot. I was planning on sitting quietly and reading. Instead I met good people and listened to fun chatter. Great service, beautiful clean environment and fun people. This is the real barber experience you have heard of but never got because it is not easy to find in Seattle. Highly recommend it.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Jimmy was fantastic and it was nice to meet Percy and Chris too. It’s a cool space and a great location in West Seattle. Easy parking and friendly professional service. Next time I come in, I’m going to be sure to schedule enough time for a hot towel straight razor shave. Highest recommendations.

Professionals all around! Jimmy is timely and does a great job of paying attention to detail. Percy does an excellent job of keeping the climate welcoming. I could get a slightly less expensive beard trim, but why if you’re going to be treated right and look good.! I go in raggedy and come out looking and feeling good.
