It's been over a year and a half since I've had my haircut. I was hesitant to find a new one as my former stylist left Seattle to go back to Idaho during the pandemic. I found Verdi through an Instagram account I follow. The reviews I checked out were raving about the location and results. I came in this week not knowing what to expect, but ready to get my crazy hair fixed. Verdi was super chill and you could also tell by the clientele as well. She asked me what my routine was for my hair and asked what style I wanted. I don't like to think about it, but asked her to help me manage just not having to do a lot of upkeep. Verdi provided a few options of the face framing, volume and getting rid of the dried ends. The end result, I rolled out of bed and let me tell you I was pretty happy with not having to manage my hair. It's so nice to wake up to wavey, voluminous and light hair. My friends love the new look and that was probably one of the most enjoyable experiences to date. Verdi is super funny and the vibes in this place are super relaxing. Thanks Verdi for making this stress free and easy.

Excellent classic barber shop with modern facilities. Reasonable prices and skilled people. I came to Casey for my wedding haircut a year ago and have been returning since. It's nice to have a dependable place for hair, I can't imagine I'll be looking for a new spot while I'm in Seattle.

I just got done with my first cut at Pioneer Barber Company with Verdi Gogh. I have to say it was one of the most pleasant, laid back, yet professional experiences I've ever had getting a haircut. Conversation was great, they were accommodating of whether I'd prefer them to mask up or not, and Verdi specifically made me feel like she really understood what I wanted, and that when I came back, she'd be able to remember the style, and what I liked, which is something I haven't experienced before, even working with seasoned barbers. Prices are great, excellent service, definitely worth trying if you're looking for a barber.

I made an appt with Tabb and she did an amazing job! Very professional, excellent cut and a joy to talk with. I live in Oak Harbor and happened to be down in the "big city" for the day and this was the first place I could get a last minute appointment and I'm so glad I did!!! Much better than anything I could get back home. I'll be a return customer for sure!

First time there. Had a great experience. Casey cut my hair and some waxing done. He did an outstanding job!! He is very professional and great to talk too. I enjoyed it very much and have booked my next appointment with him!

Every visit is quite a treat. I come for a zero fade cut and Verdi does an amazing job every time. Easy and convenient to book online. Clean and welcoming shop. Friendly staff. And you can even get a beer while you get a cut. Come by Pioneer Barber for your next haircut. You won’t be disappointed.

Old school barbershop meets new school standards and care. Very nice place with great friendly atmosphere. Casey made me feel right at home. He is an excellent stylist and did a great job on my cut. Very attentive to my requests and professional. So glad to meet you Casey! The covid protocols were on point with a temp check and hand sanitizer for all persons entering the shop. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the Seattle area and need a freshen up.

This is hands down one of the best places to get a haircut in Seattle. Verdi and her team leave not one strand of hair un-flipped when it comes to their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail. I've probably never felt this happier about a haircut before. That says something about their level of curated service.

What a great place! I arrived earlier than I'd intended but Chad was still able to see me promptly. He cut my hair carefully and with precision as well as being genuinely friendly. Do come here if you're in Seattle, least of all they're likely to see you straight away!

This place is AMAZING!!!! I cannot emphasize how great of an experience I had here! The staff was leagues more polite than man of the places I've been around Seattle, the service was ABOVE and BEYOND. Pioneer Barbershop was an EXPERIENCE more than anything else. I'm very particular about my hair and how it's cut, and I've gotten great cuts before from other places around Seattle. But the level of service I received here was like nothing I'd ever gotten anywhere else. I'd HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! I'm switch over and making this place my regular "go-to" barbershop. You will not be disappointed when you go here!
