Nathan does an amazing job cutting my hair. He takes his time and asks if it looks like you want it to and will get it just right. 5 stars!

Attaching sandwich boards to a city fixture like this is illegal. The portable sign shall not: Be placed on any corner Obstruct pedestrian mobility Create a hazard (e.g. a tripping hazard) Interfere with traffic visibility Impair access to a public sidewalk, street, driveway, traffic control sign, bus stop, fire hydrant or other type of street amenity >>>>>>>>>>>Be chained to light poles, trees or other amenities. Include banners, streamers, pennants, flags, wind-animated objects, balloons, or similar movable objects Also, you cannot place these boards anywhere except for in front of your business Limit one portable sign per business location Exception: If a business location has an entrance on a second street frontage, e.g. around the corner, a second sign is allowed near that second entrance The portable sign shall be placed: within the frontage of your business next to a building entrance or directly across from an entrance in line with other street amenities (street trees, light poles, parking meters, bike racks, etc.) I have reported this to the city as well.

Nathan is an amazing guy. Extremely kind, gives great haircuts and has an incredible life story. Very easy to recommend Nathan to anyone for a great haircut.

I have been going to Nathan’s for the last year and a half, and I’ll continue to go there for as long as I’m in the seattle area. Both Majid and Nathan do a fantastic job and it is easy to see that they care about what they do. They do not try to rush you out, even when busy. Nathan completed my last haircut with eyebrow threading and it made me look like a different person.

Nathan and Majid are fantastic. The shop is welcoming and they do a great job with haircuts and beard trims (of all styles) while taking good care of everyone who walks through the door. I’ve been getting my haircut by Nathan for 20+ years and my son, now 13, will ONLY get his haircuts from Nathan. Do yourself and favor and come into the shop. You won’t regret it.

I have been getting my haircut and beard trim for years. I got another cut today and Nathan did a great job of listening to what I wanted and adding his own twist to it. If you are looking for a great cut and beard trim come give Nathan’s Barbershop a visit. You will be happy you did!

Nathan's one of the best barber I have known in 30 years. I travel from Redmond to Seattle only for this haircut. He also provides eyebrows trimming services. Highly recommend!!!

I have been coming to Nathan's barbershop for years now, and they always do such a great job with my hair at an affordable price. Now I don't really want to go anywhere else to get a cut even though I don't live in the U-district anymore. Everyone is friendly, the vibes are good, and the schedule is flexible enough that if you walk in you never have to wait for more than one person to finish up before it's your turn. Can't recommend enough.

I'm looking for a barbershop in North Seattle so I checked the reviews on Google for Nathan's Barbershop, I've never visited this shop but the reviews seem overwhelming positive so I'm gonna check them out next week. The reason I decided to write a review w/o ever experiencing a cut here is because I think it's crazy that any of the negative reviews suggest that $45 is way to expensive for a haircut from an obviously competent barber. The last haircut I received was at Rudy's Barbershop in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood & it wasn't a bad cut but it cost me $75 & tbh the barber was pretentious, had an ego about his "wealth of experience," he explained how valuable his time was, & I left w/ a bad taste in my mouth about the whole experience. I've digressed, this isn't supposed to be a negative review for Rudy's, just an acknowledgement that $45 for a good haircut & positive experience is more than reasonable in the Seattle market. Hopefully be by next week for a cut, I'm looking forward to it. 👊

After walking by Nathan's shop for years, I'm so glad I finally walked in and got a haircut. Nathan cut my hair two weeks ago, and I think it's the best haircut I've ever had. I don't recall ever getting this many compliments on a haircut before. In addition to being an incredible barber, he's also a very friendly guy.
