I’ve been going here for about two years now and I cannot recommend it enough. My hair always looks great after an appointment, and I’m in and out pretty quickly which I appreciate! All the barbers are super friendly and they do great events for the community as well. So glad to have a barber I can trust!

Love this place, the guys Piotr and Julio are so nice and fun to talk to. I went here on a recommendation from a longtime client and they were very nice, quick, and did a great job with my hair. Had a similar experience the second time I went, had my hair cut by Piotr both times. I will stay a regular customer!

I got a great haircut from Peter. Super chill experience and high quality cut. I didn’t give too much direction (just wanted to shorter on the top and a buzzed on sides) and he delivered the goods.

I been a customer since they opened (more then 8 years ago). Always amazing, great vibes, top notch quality. Recently I grew a beard and decided to change my barber from Piotr to Jack. They are both excellent and Jack is particularly good with beards. I'm getting a photoshoot soon and he make awesome job to get just the look I was getting after. Cannot recommend this place more highly.

Clean and friendly environment. I believe i had Jack. He seemed rushed for whatever reason. Despite me mentioning I wax my mustache and to only trim the middle, he cut it down the same as the rest of my beard (I can no longer wax it). He also went way too hard on the back of my neck. I could feel the trimmers scraping my neck. Despite this, I am content with how it turned out and plan to go again, just probably not with the same Barber.

I am so incredibly impressed with Counterbalance! I was visiting for a family emergency from the East Coast and desperately to do something to make myself feel more.. myself. On my way to pick up meds for my family, I stopped in to see if someone at Counterbalance could clean up my undercut so I could at least feel good about how I look. They were SO helpful and squeezed me into their packed schedule. Jack was so kind and skillful and got me cleaned up and looking amazing! It totally turned around how I felt about the whole day. Even when pressed for time, Jack was careful and detail oriented, and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Counterbalance, and their new staff member, Jack!

I came down to visit Seattle & decided to find a barber that could cut a perfect beard. Julio did exactly that. We had a great conversation while he executed a perfect fade for hair and beard with sharp lines and excellent shaping. The barber shop is small & has a very old school charm. The prices are very reasonable, mine was $50 for hair & beard. If you have a beard make an appointment with Julio.

First time here. Really nice barber and nice shop, but I asked for a low fade down to skin (zero) and they gave me this. Barber said they wont do fades to zero due to covid.. huh? Doesnt make sense to me. Sucks to make an appointment 3 weeks in advance for a supposedly good place and be told they cant give you the cut you want.

Great independent barbershop. Owner is a straight shooting no frills down to earth stand up guy. Clean shop, professional staff, friendly service. Had my beard trimmed and shaved my head, pleasantly pleased with the outcome.
