I’ve been going to Chris for over a year, ever since I moved to Seattle, and he’s been the only barber I’ve trusted with my hair since. I get a bald fade and beard trim every two to three weeks, and the quality has been consistently excellent. His fades are clean, precise, and detailed, and the beard work is sharp and balanced. The cut grows out well between visits, which speaks to the technique. Chris is professional, direct, and focused on his craft. He runs on time, works efficiently, and clearly takes pride in delivering a high standard. The shop itself is a straightforward barbershop environment, not a luxury salon experience, and the emphasis is on skill and consistency. In my experience, he’s respectful, communicative, and committed to doing good work. If you’re looking for a reliable barber who delivers sharp, high quality cuts consistently, Chris is an easy recommendation.

Christopher cuts my hairs (short men’s cut and very full beard) every time I’m in Seattle from NYC and it is one of things I most look forward to on my visits. His cuts are superb and the care he takes in his craft is obvious. He’s not especially chatty but I appreciate that — he is focused, efficient and skilled — plus talking during a beard trim is generally not a recipe for a good cut! The shop itself has great vibes, love the product lines they carry (especially the Kevin Murphy pomades) and the location is ideal. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Been going to Chris D. for about 6 years now. He is extrmely skilled, efficent, and gives you EXACTLY what you ask for. Hes also very good at fading/cutting very thin hair which I had a hard time finding before I met him. The atmosphere is professional yet fun and relaxed. Very happy supporting this business and the excellent work they do.

Riley is a true master of his craft! He always knows exactly what I’m asking for and executes with precision and style. I would recommend him to anyone. He’s been cutting my hair for years and I’m always excited to see the outcome of his work. I couldn’t imagine getting my hair done by anyone else! The shop is a lovely space and the other stylists that work here also make it an enjoyable experience.

I have been going to Buckhorn for over 5 years like clockwork every two weeks. Without fail, I get incredible, friendly, and professional service from Christoper every time. He’s absolutely the reason I am a loyal customer, and can’t recommend him highly enough to others that need a great barber.

Chris is a talented barber but one of the least friendly people I’ve ever met. He takes no care in getting to know you and seems pissed you’re even there. I’ve seen him around 10 times since moving to Seattle so it’s not a one off. I was blown away today when I showed up for an appointment asked for a trim and he was rude and condescending as usual when I asked for his thoughts THEN after he completed the cut that I specified in 10 minutes and I asked him to trim a little more off the sides he refused. They do 30 minute intervals so he had another full 20 minutes to make an adjustment but stated flatly he wouldn’t “do the hair cut twice” lol even though I was unsure about the length at the outset. I’m not a barber and am trying something new with the length of my hair so yeah I don’t perfectly the lengths to tell you. God forbid someone try and change their style and hope for expert advice For 55$ before tip that’s just insane. Terrible service. Tons of good barbershops on the hill. Highly suggest looking elsewhere unless you just love paying a premium for shitty service from people who act like they despise you.

Nico absolutely killed my haircut! I was going for a new style which I was nervous about, but it turned out great due to her attention to detail and thoroughness. Not to mention, she was very kind and fun to talk to!! I also have curly hair which is more difficult to deal with, but again, she nailed the cut.

Buckhorn Barbershop is by far my most favorite place for anything hair related. I have gone to Michael so many times and he always makes me feel immediately welcome. Not only this but the other staff are some of the friendliest people that you will meet. I really cant give enough praise for everyone there.

We are so grateful for this barbershop! They were able to fit my boyfriend in last minute (literally such a lifesaver) and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. ✨ The stylist (Micheal) did such a great job cleaning up his hair — they took off all the dead ends, shaped it perfectly, and even recommended a curling product that works so well for his texture. You could really tell they cared about making sure he left looking and feeling his best. A huge mahalo to Micheal for taking the time and giving so much care. 💇🏽‍♂️ We left feeling super happy and impressed, and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a cut that’s thoughtful, stylish, and done with real attention to detail. Definitely our new go-to spot! 🌟
