I had a men’s haircut ($28) which was expertly done to my specifications. It included a straight razor that squared off my neck line perfectly. Barber was professional and focused on the task with little conversation, which I appreciated. An A+ job that was cheaper by $17 from my usual guy (before tip).

Excellent service and fades by Leo and Kevin. They saw a picture I showed them and copied it exactly. I appreciate a down to earth barbershop where you can come in and out. The $32 price point is great and it’s budget friendly. The owner is really nice and very attentive. 5 stars.

I had a haircut from Nancy. She was meticulous in making sure everything was even and blended well, resulting in a very well-done haircut. She first checked lengths to see if I approved. She worked quickly. The haircut was one of the best I ever had.

Great all around. I called for an appointment before they opened - they answered the call and I had a same-day slot for 2. They were waiting for me, ready to go at my scheduled time. They are good at scheduling. They gave both of us the haircuts we asked for. They noticed little details that many hair stylists/ barbers miss. Good fading between my beard to side burns and my sides to top. My favorite part - straight razor on the back of the neck. One interesting tidbit: quietest hair cut I’ve ever had and there were 4 people all getting their hair cut at the same time. So if you don’t like small talk during your cut, this is the place for you. Good ambiance. They have toys for kids in case you need to bring your kid with you. Only comment and it doesn’t affect my decision to come back here, is that when I saw Uplake BARBERshop, I thought it was going to be some older white goy who got sick of retirement or some hipster. It’s not, and that is perfectly fine. The brain is funny how it makes assumptions sometimes. Will happily go back. Lastly, very affordable.

This place absolutely butchered my hair right before a vacation. The barber verified with me how much to cut off (about a half inch), then proceeded to cut about 2 inches off the top leaving me with something close to a buzz cut. At the end the owner apologized for the bad haircut and still asked me to pay, which I did only because I didn’t want to be there a minute longer. I’ve had decent haircuts there before, but this time got a new person. Unless you want to play Russian roulette with your appearance, I would avoid this place.

I came in for a beard trim and left looking like a whole new man. I think the barber’s name was John/Jon, super patient, precise, and really knows what he’s doing. His technique is beautiful and he genuinely transformed my appearance. My beard has never looked this clean before. Dude has magical hands. Walked out feeling more confident than ever. Highly recommend

Amazing place with great quality cuts and decent pricing. They were very kind and squeezed me in as a walk in when I was in a time crunch. Glad to see that this newer barber shop is getting a lot of business and I recommend making an appointment ahead of time as they were very busy. I will be back for my next haircut!

I love this place. I have Nancy cut my hair and she does an awesome job. I am not good with hair lengths and switched up my usual cut at my last visit. Nancy cut my hair at the length I requested and I left in a hurry because I needed to be somewhere. I later realized it was longer on the top than I had wanted; not because she did not cut it as requested but because of my ignorance regarding hair length. I came back the next day and she sat me down right away, took some more hair off the top in a matter of 5 minutes, and sent me on my way with no charge or questions asked. Highly recommend this place, and the prices are unmatched.

4.5 stars out of 5 but that rounds to 5. Had my first visit to Uplake a couple Saturdays ago. On the way in my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting the manager (and, I believe, proprietor) and enjoyed a nice chat before getting settled for my appointment. The appointment started a little late but I take that as a sign of customer care based on my experience. I had a haircut and beard trim which was nearly perfect. The barber got everything nice and short with a #2 guard on the clippers. Then I received a wonderful clean up around the edges of the hairline and nape of the neck with a warm straight-razor shave. By that point I was feeling pretty darn ritzy! A rub of soothing aftershave on the back of the neck had me feeling spoiled. The only point which wasn't quite right was my request to neaten up the chin. I keep the chin bare but hadn't shaved for a few days so the difference between the stubble and the beard wasn't great. At the beginning of the cut I asked for the beard on either side of the chin to be straighten and had to repeat the request to get it done. The barber had a quick go and the results were pretty good. All else was absolutely top notch and I look forward to my next visit!

The interior is very clean and modern vibe. It was super busy when we came in. Make sure to make an appointment before. John was very skilled. My boyfriend's hair came out to be clean-cut look and I love it! update 7/9/2025 - my boyfriend always goes to either John or Nancy for his haircut. I took my nephew to Nancy today and she was amazing as always! His haircut looks fresh!
