I have been there three times. I have thin straight blonde hair and also on my beard. If you have a beard this is the best deal in town. The owner is always there to help. My friends have paid upwards over $50 to have their beards/mustache done and they were staggered I only paid $8 plus a good tip🤣. I highly recommend this school

Our family recently re located from a different country and found hair cut costs through the roof for a family with 3 kids. Especially boys who need their hair cut every month. This pushed me to find reasonable options and give this place a try. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! The students who cut hair are patient, professional and polite. My oldest got his hair cut with Caleb who did a fabulous job. Yousuf patiently detangled my daughter's long hair and gave her a blunt cut. I didnt quite get the name of the person who cut my 5year old's hair but he manged my Lil one with a smile through the service. Through the process the person incharge (goes by the name of Plus") would do his rounds to make sure everything was done to perfection and even give a helping hand to ensure the same. The student hair cuts cost 8 dollars and the board says they work for tips so wanted to encourage them the best I could. Heads up that they take cash only for student hair cuts. Really clean place and affordable. Even gave the kids lollies at the end! Soo glad I found this place and will be going back every month for more hair cuts!

Best barber shop I’ve ever been to — hands down. Plus is not only an incredible barber, but an even better person. He’s an amazing teacher who genuinely cares about every single haircut that happens in his shop. He spends an incredible amount of time helping his students perfect their craft and refuses to let anyone get away with mediocrity. That level of care and leadership really shows in the quality of the cuts. On top of that, the student cuts are only $8 (plus a well-deserved tip), and they’ve always done a great job. It’s a perfect way to help students build real experience while also saving money. Overall, I can’t recommend Plus and Headz 1st Barber Shop enough. An absolute gem in Sterling.

This is the best place to get a student haircut (and only $8 plus tip). The students here are serious about their training AND giving you a great haircut and overall experience. They are friendly, courteous, and professional - in large part thanks to the excellent instruction of PLUS (that's his name). PLUS runs a very tight ship, and checks every student's work to make sure it's top notch! Highly recommended!!

Quality hair cuts at a good price, but you might have to wait a few minutes for the process. Students are very professional, and all decisions on tools and techniques to use are made in collaboration with the resident professor. Bottom line: a great deal!

Such a great location and a very good learning facility, I have had multiple coworkers come and get some amazing cuts from the students! Plus the main instructor does a fantastic job in showing students the tricks of the trade and teachea as he cuts

I stumbled upon this hidden gem when I noticed an intersection sign advertising affordable haircuts. Curiosity led me to discover that it's actually a barber institute where students gain practical experience. Intrigued by the concept, I decided to give it a try, seeing it as a win-win situation. A few days ago, I walked in and was politely informed by a staff member that there might be a slight wait. After patiently waiting for about 25 minutes, it was finally my turn. The student barber who attended to me was not only pleasant and professional, but also meticulous in his work, paying attention to even the smallest details. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome and will definitely return to this place. It comes with my highest recommendation.

This place is great. I can't praise this place enough. Plus, the owner, is an absolute maestro when it comes to haircuts. His professionalism and attention to detail are second to none. One of the standout features of this shop is the fantastic student haircut option they offer, which is incredibly budget-friendly. Owner ,Plus personally monitors the students, ensuring that they provide good cuts which will satisfy the customer. It's impressive to see how dedicated he is to maintaining quality.
