I am writing to formally complain about the extremely unprofessional, negligent, and disrespectful service I received at your barbershop. During an upper lip waxing service, the wax was applied to my skin and then left on while the staff member answered her phone and continued a personal phone call for more than 2–3 minutes. This directly caused a burn to my upper lip. When the wax was removed, the pain was severe and immediate damage occurred. After this, instead of taking responsibility, I was told that the redness and injury were due to my “sensitive skin.” This is completely false. I do not have sensitive skin, and I have had waxing done many times before without any issue. The problem was clearly caused by leaving the wax on for too long, which is a basic and serious professional error. When I returned to address this issue, I was repeatedly lied to by another staff member. First, I was told that the person who performed the service was not there yet. Then I was asked if I had an appointment. Then I was told she would come tomorrow. Less than ten seconds later, the same woman appeared. This was a clear lie and completely unacceptable. Despite causing physical injury, the staff member never apologized. I requested a refund, which was denied. Instead, she continued to blame my skin and falsely claimed she did not answer the phone, trying to justify her mistake. Because my English is limited, I was not able to fully express myself at that moment, and this was clearly taken advantage of. What is even more shocking is that I was personally told multiple times, “Do not come here again” and “I don’t want you to get any services here anymore.” This kind of language from a business owner or professional is rude, hostile, and completely inappropriate. For clarity: I am a licensed esthetician in the state of Virginia. I know exactly how waxing should be performed. I know that when wax is left on the skin for too long, it can cause burns, scarring, severe pain, and lasting damage. Three days have passed, and my upper lip is still painful, scabbed, and healing from the burn. This business has shown a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer respect. Instead of acknowledging a clear mistake, they attempted to blame the client, deny responsibility, and intimidate me into silence. I do not recommend this business under any circumstances. If something goes wrong, they do not accept responsibility and instead try to shift blame onto the customer.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My son had a program on New Year’s Day, so we went in for a haircut. I showed the barber a reference photo with longer hair in the middle and faded sides. Instead, she immediately started trimming the middle of his head and cut it very short. I was extremely frustrated. It completely ruined my son’s look for his program. To make matters worse, the barber blamed me and said, “Hair will grow back in a few days.” That response was unacceptable. Any experienced barber knows to start from the sides, not the middle. The whole experience was very upsetting. I will never go back to this place and will not recommend it to anyone.

Susan is incredible and the prices are fair for the area. I would highly recommend this place…my husband always gets his hair cut here

Very nice people, but is pricey compared with the job, before i give her my card asked to add $20 tip I got surprised when i saw the total of $67 i believe $47 for just super short hair cut without shampoo and style is too much!!!!

I moved to Florida a few years ago, but whenever I'm back visiting family, this is always my first stop. Susan is an incredible barber – I went to her for years and haven't found anyone nearly as skilled since I moved. Highly recommend! 5 stars!

Great haircut! I have been visiting this shop for years and I am always happy with the results. They have good attention to detail with the shave and trimming around my beard. I usually opt for wash and get a nice scalp massage at the end.

Moved to FC about 5 years ago from NY. Tried a few places out and realized this was the best in terms of service and haircut quality. I get an old school fade and they get it right every time. The owner is on the floor cutting hair and creates a very professional barbershop atmosphere. I won’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Ive been going to Susan for a few years now. I am not picky but my kids are and they are always happy about their haircuts. Have had haircut by the other barbers but mostly by Susan. I have had a great experience and highly recommend this place. Must get hair wash and hot towel!

Susan has cut my hair for 15 years. She is absolutely the best. She started this shop and has put so much time and energy into it. Great customer service. Great haircuts. Would give her 100 stars if Google allowed it.
