Nice place. Friendly staffs. Some staffs are not very experienced. Teens love this place coz they understand and style their hair as they say. Price is on the higherside compared to similar salons.

I’ve been going to barber effect for a few years now and recently started getting my haircuts from Art after Joey went to the other location. Art’s been great with cutting my hair and the skin fades. He comes with decades of cutting experience and originally from NYC which he proudly reps.

I’ve been coming to Barber Effect for 3 years now, and they’ve never missed. The shop is always clean, the vibe is great, and the barbers are consistently on point. They really listen to what you want and take their time with every cut—fades, lineups, everything is sharp. The consistency over the years is what keeps me coming back. My beard was struggling after months of pretending I knew what I was doing and trimming at home. It finally got to the point that something HAD to be done before I just shaved it off completely. So...I booked an appointment with Murat. He took the time to look at reference pics I provided, assessed my beard, and talked through some options. I got out of the chair with my beard looking better than probably it ever has! He did a phenomenal job. Oh, I also got a medium skin fade (1.5 on top) and the haircut looks just as good as the beard trim. All in all...A+!

I have been going to this barber for two and half years now. Usually I always have a great experience, sometimes I have to fix up my haircut at home around the edges, but generally most of the time I end up with a great haircut. It is especially hard to find good barber’s that cut curly hair well. However, in the past year the quality of my haircuts have been getting worse. The staff has changed at least 3 times, and it seems like all the good barbers may have left for their new location in Merrifield. The last cut I had here was with a newer barber, and I had to go home and fix most of what he did. I don’t recommend going here if you like your hair done a particular way without deviation.

It’s been two years since I’ve been coming here and Frank always does a wonderful job with my hair. Frank always accommodates super well to any requests I have with my hair and he’s always been super kind and wonderful. I only trust him with my hair ever since I’ve come here. Highly recommend. Art was great. Fast, efficient, great service, and wife loved the haircut. I was also impressed with his understanding of hair types and the struggles I have with my particular hair. Truly, a craftsman who knows his craft.

Miss Myra was very knowledgeable and professional. She knows what she is doing . My husband needed some urgent hair cut and she did her best yo fit him in her Schedule . We appreciate her for that. It was our first time here in this salon but we will surely come back to myra . She did a very nice job with my husband’s haircut . Very nice and professional.

After 3 years living in DMV. Finally found a barber as good as my professional hair stylist in NY. Frank is top notch. Knows how to give perfect fades and has amazing scissoring skills which is hard to find. On top of that he knows what hair looks good based on head shape which is extremely rare to find because most barbers leave the back of the head too long leaving the head look oval. But with him I got a very masculine boxy head haircut

Since I left my hometown, I was nervous about getting a haircut because I didn’t know any skilled barbers in the area. I searched for barbers on Google and found this place. Ms. Tho treats her customers well and is excellent at cutting long hair. I really liked my haircut. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to my friends. Thank you, Ms. Tho!
