I had an excellent experience at the best barbershop in the DMV. The owners are a terrific group of people who truly care about each individual who walks through the doors. Justin is an outstanding barber who is very knowledgeable about different cuts. I will definitely be back regularly.

This was my second time coming here and once again they did not disappoint. The team was professional, listened carefully to exactly how I wanted my haircut, and executed it perfectly. I went from long hair to a medium length style and the transition came out great. It’s hard to find barbers who truly understand your directions, and they definitely do. Highly recommend.

I only have good things to say about my experiences here. Justin Lawson is my barber and he does a great job each and every time. I’ve never left upset about my haircut because Justin knows what he’s doing and listens to what I want. I’d recommend this place, and especially Justin, to anyone looking for a quality haircut.

Sammy is my go to guy. Always does an amazing job and is totally worth the price point. Previously went to a cheaper place in Arlington but the quality here is totally worth it!

Tried BG on a whim as I started a new job nearby. Justin gave me the best cut I’ve had in maybe 20 years. I am 60. Full head of hair still. Wore the same parted style for a very long time. He opted for something just a bit more modern. Attention to detail is amazing and just a level up from my wonderful Korean and Vietnamese barbers I have been using forever. It’s well worth the price IMHO if you can swing it.

I've been a longtime customer since the original location opened, and have a very simple men's haircut. But over the last year, I've encountered a lack of consistency. The original team of barbers were very good, listened to guidance and provided advice. The newer barbers unfortunately all too often seem to do what they want. Case in point: I saw Cris for the first time today, who ignored my request not to buzzcut the sides of my head. The cut is too short and lacks any style. He did exactly what I asked him NOT to do. It feels like the owners' focus on expansion has come at a cost to quality and consistency. I hope they rectify these issues going forward, as right now this place is not worth price. Really disappointing.

My boyfriend got his beard shaped up by Cris at The Bearded Goat in Ballston, and he did an awesome job. Super personable, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience really comfortable. Beard came out clean and sharp — definitely recommend Cris!

Same awesome barbers, new barbershop! Jon and Eric are exceptional barbers. I have been getting my hair cut by Jon for the last several years. His cuts are immaculate: he'll make sure your hair gets proper texture and volume. I followed him along when he left one barbershop and temporarily worked in various barbershops until he and his partners opened the Bearded Goat Barber. Bearded Goat Barber is a very modern, clean and brightly lit barbershop just one block from Ballston metro station. There's always complimentary cold brew coffee and bottled water in the shop. It's very clean and spacious. They're recruiting some of the best barbers in the area. The entire team is exceptionally hospitable and welcoming. The receptionists are very diligent in following up with you about your next appointment. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good barbers/hairstylists.
