Very lovely people but two thirds of them can’t perform a skin fade. If you need a skin fade use the lady closest to the door

Prices should be lowered to reflect the quality of haircuts. Simple directions could not be followed and it was very apparent the barber was not putting effort into the haircut or beard trim.

I’ve finally found my barber in ALX! My hair isn’t complicated but it’s taken three tries to find my barber. Great job and done completely.

Recently moved to the area and found this shop and decided to give it a shot. My first haircut was awesome. The experience was great from the haircut look to the cleanliness. My second visit was with a different barber and resulted in one of the worst haircuts I’ve had. From the start, the towel applied to my neck was clearly dirty as it was itchy and had hair all over it that got on my clothes and was clearly a different color than mine. The cut itself was terrible and did not turn out as I’d asked. The cleanup around my ears never happened until I had to ask and my sideburns were also not cleaned up. It’s a 50/50 shot of a good haircut or a horrible haircut with nasty conditions. I won’t be taking the risk again

STAY AWAY! Hands down the worst haircut I have ever had. Came to D.C. for work and tried out this place. I received a bowl cut... I'm not kidding. I asked for a long on top with a #4-#2 fade on sides. The woman cutting my hair used scissors on the sides despite repeated objections. She trimmed around my ears with a #3 and snipped long straight cuts along my crown. I asked for a shave and did not receive one. She said she did not know how to use a straight razor. She trimmed my beard and then failed to properly line of up my beard evenly. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I had to go get another haircut the next day. Absolute waste of time and money.

Nice spot that's never busy so you could almost always do a walk up. There are three barbers here a middle aged man and woman, and an older woman. Their work with clippers is very heavy handed so if you aren't the type that likes the sides tight then stay away. I personally am cool with the look, so I liked most of my cuts here. I got most of my cuts with the older woman and she did a great job.

I dropped in to Old Town Barber for a quick haircut while in town on business. It was a Sunday evening and I was happy to find a place that was open till 6pm. There were two ladies working and very little wait. This shop had a very comfortable family feel. They finished up quick and I liked my haircut. I would definitely go back again if I’m in town.

I moved to Old Town a couple of years ago and had been loyal to my barber for approximately 15 years. The shop where she worked was about a 40 minute drive each way for me and ultimately became too much of an investment of my time. After careful consideration, I walked into Old Town Barber Shop and I sat down in "Ms. Young's" chair. I was very happy that the results were perfect in terms of what I had always expected from my previous barber. Ms. Young gave me the exact hair cut I asked her for!. It has been the same experience every time: A precision cut, a friendly atmosphere and and done in much less time than I was accustomed to previously! 5 stars!

LGBTQ+ friendly barbershop!! The ladies that helped us were an absolute delight. They were helpful with picking out a style for my girlfriend, finding the perfect cut and executing it. Prices were good, the barber was quick and precise. Definitely would recommend giving this little shop a chance. Clean outside of the store and inside, polite employees, seating for those who have to wait, and comfortable temp inside. Even if you're like me, just passing through town, give Old Town Barber Shop a visit for a quick cut and style - you won't be disappointed!
