I had an amazing experience with this hairstylist! They truly listened to what I wanted and delivered a beautiful result that exceeded my expectations. Professional, talented, and welcoming—I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stylist who really knows their craft. ✂️✨

Val is an amazing stylist! I walked in nervous for a big change in my hair, to walking out absolutely in love with it. Val listened and knew exactly what I was attempting to describe and gave suggestions that I loved! I trust Val with my hair and will 100% be going back in due time!

Loved getting my hair cut by Val. She takes her time to listen to what you’re wanting, talks you through what she will do before even starting. She is always very helpful with suggestions, too, and my hair has grown back so fast every time! Layers are pristine!

I always give the stylist time to learn how I like my haircut. I get a 6 of 6.5 mid fade with razor or shaver. Depends on the place and the service they provide. I always leave the bangs long and ask those not be cut. First haircut. Not bad. Second. A little better. Beard not lined up well though either time. Today..... She cut bangs off. Fade so high. My hair looks like a mohawk. The blend is choppy. Didnt even listen to what I wanted on the haircut or beard. I shouldnt have had to pay $60.00. When I mentioned it. No apology. Just. "Oh". Then quick subject change to rinsing hair. Like it was normal. She wasn't ever rude or anything. Just unconcerned. I was starting to like the place. Thought I found a stylist finally. Now.... Don't rebook me. I won't be back and I have to wait for all this to grow back now. Which sucks. I have walk around like this...

Bobbie is THAT stylist. From the second I sat in his chair, his energy made me feel comfortable trusting him with my hair. He did not disappoint. He really listened, explained what would work best for my finer hair, and was honest in a way that felt reassuring, not pushy. When I realized I wanted a little more out of the cut, he was so kind, patient, and professional about it. He made sure to do what was healthiest for my hair while still giving me the look I wanted, and even took the time to re-style it so I could fully see the difference. I left feeling confident, happy, and very much in my main-character era. Great vibes, real talent, and someone who actually cares. If you’re thinking about booking with Bobbie — do it. Trust your hair with Bobbie. Period.

Finally got into booking with @curlyheadval and I was MORE THAN IMPRESSED!! Many of my besties have mentioned her as their “go to stylist” she made the sitting in the chair such a joy! She didn’t get frustrated with my questions and gave me really good feedback on my hair as far as what products I should use for future reference and had me walking out the chair looking and feeling like a completely different person. 10/10 would come back just yo see her ✨

First time I moved into the city I came in here with the hopes someone would be nice enough to cut my hair and at least do a good job. I was blown away by the service and I got used to Valerie cutting my hair. She’s an amazing lady and has always gone above and beyond for me. The atmosphere is always chill and I recommend anyone to come check this place out. I always come here and Valerie always takes care of me and does an amazing job.

I had an amazing experience at this salon! The atmosphere was so relaxing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. My stylist Valerie really listened to what I wanted finding a stylist who understands curly hair can be a game-changer, and I've finally found that here! She took the time to really assess my curl pattern and texture, and offered some great advice on how to keep my curls healthy and defined. The cut I received has given my curls so much more life and bounce, and I've been getting compliments left and right. If you've got curly hair, you NEED to check this place out! Also she did an amazing job on my blowout and hairstyle! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I’ve been going to valerie ramirez for years and I honestly can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. She makes me feel completely comfortable with my likes, my fears, and any changes I want to try. Her versatility is unmatched. she does everything from cuts and color to barbering, designs, and braiding, and she does it all so well. The environment she creates is welcoming and judgment-free, which means a lot to me. I trust her so much that I now bring my son to her too for his haircuts. If you’re looking for someone who listens and delivers every time, she’s the one.

I have never left a negative review, but I am absolutely shocked and disappointed by my experience here. I left the salon feeling embarrassed and upset — and I cannot believe anyone would allow me to walk out with my hair looking like this. I told my stylist that I wanted a refresh of my color since my roots had grown out, and that I was fine doing a full color. I showed her my inspiration photo (attached) and explained that I was really hoping for a pick-me-up after a haircut I didn’t love. She looked at the picture, said she could do it, and quoted me $110. After applying the color and starting to blow dry my hair, she paused halfway and asked if I liked it. I said, “Um… yeah, but it looks really orange, and my roots stick out a lot.” Her response was, “Do you have purple shampoo at home?” When I said no, she told me to buy some on the way home and that “it’ll fix it right up.” She also claimed the lighting in the salon was bad and it would “look better outside.” When we finished, I was told the total was $190, not the $110 I was quoted. I was charged for a blow dry I was never told was an additional $80, and honestly, I feel like I could’ve done better at home. Not only that, I had to pay a $37.50 deposit! Despite being upset, I still tipped 18% because it was the lowest option and I believe in tipping people who service you — but I left feeling humiliated and trying everything I could to fix the color myself. I ended up wasting nearly $267.50 on a service that destroyed my confidence. I understand I should have spoken up before leaving, but I was afraid of being charged even more, and I simply didn’t have the money to spend. I was embarrassed to go to work today with my hair like this and honestly stunned that a professional stylist would send someone home in this condition — especially after telling me to fix it myself. I’ve included photos of my hair before and after. I chose this salon because of the amazing reviews and research I did on it, and maybe I was just the exception. Regardless, no one should ever leave a salon feeling worse about themselves than when they walked in — especially after paying nearly double the quoted price. I truly hope my situation was an exception, because I’m heartbroken over how my hair turned out and the price I paid for it. First four pics is what my hair looks like now, fifth pic is what I asked for, the last pictures are what my hair looked like before the appointment.
