What a fantastic shop! Was passing through San Antonio on a road trip and was in desperate need of a haircut. I found the barbershop on maps and liked the reviews. Definitely was not disappointed! Esteban is truly as master class at what he does as everyone says he is. Super communicative about times and making sure he’s giving you the time you’d need (I recommend making booking). We spoke about what I was looking to get, he was very insightful and thorough to make sure i was getting the haircut I wanted. Conversation was great, Esteban is an encyclopedia of knowledge about SA, Texas, Mexico, other cities, restaurants, shops, etc. truly a man of culture. I got some great recs from him, ended up getting lunch at one of the spots he mentioned and it was 10/10. I got a shave and cut, the hot and cold towel were class. Left feeling very good about my haircut and the experience! Great gem of a shop in San Antonio!

Owner personally stayed late to take me as a walk in. Great personalities and inclusive space with good rock vibes. Offered a ton of recommendations as I'm new to town. Got a nice medium fade looks great. All around great service and vibes. Will be returning.

I went in to get a high fade and it resulted in a line around my head which wasn't faded and Miss shaped on both sides. No big deals he even left a patch in the front where he was supposed to edge it up claiming he likes to go with the natural hairline but that is not lining it up properly. I decided to go back because I understand mistakes happen and asked him to fix it however he could not spot the mistake nor could he fix it and he didn't accomplish anything the second time around. I was hesitant to even give a review but I figured I would have to so that no one else would end up with a bad haircut that cost $50. So no one would pay for an edge up and not receive it. I had to go get it fixed from somewhere else and they even said that I shouldn't have paid for it but I respect work and people being paid for their work. It was very expensive and not done correctly. Since I wasn't going to put a review I did not take pictures but I should have

Shout out to Esteban for the great haircut! It was my first time at Puro Handsome and Esteban was very patient with his work. Can’t wait to get my cut there again!

This is where you have a perfect barber shop experience. I love that they’re open early for a hot towel shave, which I got from Esteban. Everything was first class, including the conversation. Highly recommend for anyone in SA for business before your work day starts.

Esteban was amazing! Came in explained how I got a messed up cut and in rapid fire succession he chatted with me got me cleaned up and looking good. 15 min later I was getting compliments on my fresh cut! The service and knowledge is bar none, not just in San Antonio, but in Texas. You'd be hard pressed to find one better than Esteban. I'd know I've had haircuts all around when I travel for work.

Great cut and great service. Wesley was a awesome barber with a very welcoming personality. Pricing was fairly decent. But most of all the location and atmosphere would make this four-star Barber shop into a five. Enjoy 💯

I went to Puro after having met Wesley out and about. The first time I went in for a cut, Wesley asked what kind of cut I usually get and if there's anything I really like or dislike about the look or maintenance. He was really professional and after a quick chat, he decided to give my hair a more natural look versus the rigid tapers and shaping I was used to. I loved it! This haircut made me feel my age and was easy to maintain for my office job. I just went back for my second cut and Wesley's attention to detail is fantastic. He trimmed my beard and did a great lineup on my face and neck. Cold towel and hot towel service. The location and atmosphere is also great. The staff is friendly and they offered me a drink when I arrived. 10/10. I highly recommend this barbershop and Wesley specifically.

Ben was amazing!!! He fit my 2 boys in and worked with their special needs. They both walked out feeling like a million bucks!! When we come back to SA we are definitely going back!!!
