Found this place a couple weeks ago and by far one of the best barber shops in the city. Had my hair cut by Derek both times I’ve walked in, and he has done a phenomenal job. I asked for a mid fade, with a trim on top. And he actually showed me previous work he had done that makes me want to try some new hairstyles to switch it up in the future. Great atmosphere, great customer service, and for a decent price.

After my twin sons barber appointment fell through - the guy did not show up! We had a bad experience at another. After countless of research- we just gave this shop a chance. I had seen photos and was quite impressed. I suggested it to my husband and he took our 11 year old twins. All I have to say is THANK YOU!!!! They look awesome!!! The boys are happy with their fresh cuts! My husband said the rules are “ no cussing” children are there. About time! Love this. It’s quiet and a hidden gem for sure. Next to the Wok Inn on Grissom. This will be our barbershop from now on! The barber is Derrick !! For others to complain about the time it closes-suggestion - go else where “

Stopped by Pound4Pound for a hair cut based on a recommendation and was very glad I did. The barber Derek was professional, friendly, and highly skilled. I was impressed by the quality of the service provided and the cut. Cash only but a minor detail. It was busy so there was a wait but it was a Saturday so it was expected and worth the wait. Highly recommend this placed and Derek. I will definitely return.

I’ve been in twice and recently brought my son who’s home from college with me. Joe I believe is the barbers name, took great care of me the first time. And after bringing my son in, he took care of both of us. My son loved his cut hadn’t had a haircut in months since he’s been out of state. Joe cleaned him up very very well. Attention to detail is what won us over. Thank you for the great cuts hard to find quality!

This is the best Barber Shop in San Antonio. I've been struggling to find a place that actually understands how to cut hair and finally found the spot! They do beard trims too, the lines are perfect and they take their time, making sure you get the cut you want. Don't waste your time or money anywhere else, this is the place for a clean perfect cut. It's cash only but that's a small issue for the service you will receive. A+, thanks gentlemen.

Hands down best customer service we’ve ever experienced!!! My son had a haircut at another location and he was left looking terrible! I remember someone recommending this place so I drove straight to get it fixed. Derek was so great with my little boy (age 2). Mind you I wasn’t even sure if they saw children this young but I prayed on the way there that they could fix it. As soon as I walked in I begged them to see what they could do. Derek was so great and he made my little one very comfortable! His haircut came out looking great!! Their shop was really clean, their customer service was amazing, and they were really nice!!

Excited that we finally found a great barbershop that is not only affordable & welcoming, but keeps our boys (5 & 13) looking nice & clean. Glad we dropped in and trusted the reviews. Not a single complaint from myself or our picky 13 year old and let me tell you, I watch like a hawk as we’ve had some terrible haircut experiences. Thanks so much guys!!! 👏🏼

I was extremely impressed with my haircut from Derek. He runs the shop alone and takes pride in his business and service. This is a far cry from the chain or other large barbershops where you wonder who is going to cut it, and what you are going to look like when you walk out. I only wish that I had started going to his shop a few months ago when I first noticed it. Highly Recommended!

Derek's pricing competes with the chain places, but his skills are way out of their league. Went in for the first time today and he cleaned me up with an excellent high fade. Highly recommend his shop to any man in need of a affordable, high quality barber.

I'm very pleased to be the first to post a review on Pound4Pound barber shop. A little over a year ago Derek cut my hair for the first time and I was impressed! My sons and I have been going to him ever since and we couldn't be happier. "Derek" is the man make no mistake about it! Congratulations on the new shop and of course I highly recommend people to check him out. 👍
