What a great place this is. Great barbershop to get you looking sharp. If you have shoes or boots this is the best place to get them looking better than new! Treat yourself to North Star Barber Shop and get a shoe shine! You won't regret it!

So I prefer supporting local businesses and I understand this tends to make things slightly more expensive. Generally if I feel I have been provided bad service, I give a place another chance because everyone has a bad day. Standard sort of 3 strike kinda deal. That being said, I have given this establishment 3 tries and all 3 times my haircut was not as requested and the barber did not seem to understand what I was asking for. Which sucks because these gentleman are nice and I like the atmosphere they've created, but for 45$ I have an expectation that my barber understands what a simple trim is or a buzzcut. I have been with 3 different barbers here and all 3 times I ask for just a buzzcut, shorten about even on all sides, down to about an inch and a half left. And all 3 times this was not the cut I was given, and I they did not seem to understand this is what I wanted when they ask me how it looks. I do not understand how I can explain this in a more clear way, and I have never had a barber before now not understand what I was asking for.

Professional Barbers. I always get compliments on my haircuts. Chris, AJ, and Jacob are the Barbers I know and you can’t go wrong choosing any one of them. They don’t have an incompetent barber in the house. They are all professionally trained and all are super friendly. It is Best to make an appointment online or call them to schedule. Easy, Peasy same day appointments but you can also just walk in and wait for an open chair. They also have Shoe Shine Service where they give a Mirror Shine to your shoes and clean up sneakers to look like new again 10 Stars across the board to this location

Been coming to this place for around a decade since I first moved up to the city for college. Have never had a bad experience. Always accomodating, and service is reliable. Only place i've gotten my hair cut where i like it as it grows out. Chris has been my go-to barber for a long time now!

Do not go to this barbershop. Jason cut my hair and did what he wanted, nit what I asked for. He knew it was a bad cut because when I paid he didn't ask for a tip. He said just tap confirm twice, the first to confirm it was $40 for the cut, the second was for the tip, tapping it would give a zero tip. This place sucks!!! No wonder it was empty.

On 16 May 23, I googled the nearest barber shops after an appointment I had. Came across NS Barber Shop, called and asked if walk-in's were allowed, and I was told definitely. Shortly afterward, I arrived, I was sitted on the barber chair. My barber was Sam. I asked for high skin all around, finger length on top. The place is nice, barbers very polite, movie going and there is even a pool table! Once Sam was done, he gave me a mirror (a tad dirty) to view my cut. It looked good, I decided to have a shave as well, but asked to go to the men's room before he got started on my shave. While in the restroom, I noticed my cut wasn't skin all around as I asked. I thought I would let him know once he was done with the shave. Once my shave was done, I looked at the time and I didn't have time to ask for him to fix my haircut being that I had to p/u my son at 3:45pm and it was that exact time. Needless to say, for the cost ($40) of the haircut (thought beautiful because it would be cheaper compared to Northern California prices), I didn't get what I asked for. I don't understand when I get my haircuts, I ask for "SKIN" all around, up high, and I end up with hair still all around. The 1st pic (1st from left) is how I normally get it cut by "my" regular barber back in CA. The others is how it was cut by North Star. You'll notice it is high skin. Now days later, I noticed, it's just a bad haircut all around! For the cost, I should have returned and had it fixed. I don't see me returning, especially for the cost.

Really horrible haircut, i asked for a low fade but left lines and left with a horrible line on my beard. Never requested for my beard to be lined up but lined up one side and left the other untouched. Ive been here before with the same experience months ago and decided to come back. This haircut was not worth the $40 dollars. There are way better barbers that will cut for much less. Another picky thing was that the barbers are always on the phone texting. and listening to music in there buds. Where is the customer interaction and where is the service that this place is missing, Please stay away from this location, save $40 bucks and find a better place.

Amazing Experience! Chris Medina is the guy you want to go to here! By far the best haircut and shave I have ever had in my life! I left feeling like a million bucks and my confidence was through the roof! Great experience and great conversations! I don't normally even do reviews but I just had to after my time at North Star Barber Shop! 5 STARS!
