Went in for a full service and the young lady that took care of me was Alysia. Saying it was EXCELLENT service feels like an understatement to say the least. I even fell asleep for a brief moment which I consider to be a sign of deep relaxation. Great job Alysia!

My 1st time in today,1st impression it felt so welcoming got greeted as soon as I walked in,asked what I was looking to get and got a price and also that price may vary depending on style or length before hand. That’s a plus many barbers finish the job then surprise u with a different price at the end. Got offerd drinks,and I got a hair cut with Alex which he did an amazing job he was so gentle and took he’s time to ask how I was liking the look and if I wanted anything else done he was patient and did a amazing service. As the hostess.10/10 from my end

I had a disappointing experience at this location. My appointment with Gracie G. started late, and once I sat down, she mentioned that because I requested a bald fade, it would take longer than expected. She asked if I wanted to skip the hair wash, hot towel, and massage to save time — even though those services were part of what I originally booked. I agreed to help her stay on schedule, but despite removing those services at her request, I was still charged the full price. When I brought this up at checkout, the response I received from her was dismissive and didn’t address the concern. The haircut felt rushed, and the lack of professionalism at the end made the experience worse. I expect clearer communication and consistency, especially when services are changed mid-appointment.

Wishing I could post a more positive review, but we didn’t even get a chance. Went in at 12:45 to get a “beard trim and blend it to my hair” and the receptionist got me scheduled for 1:45. We came back at 1:45 and got seen at 2:09. Sat down and got the “what can I do for you” great attitude and question from the stylist. I did respond with the exact words I said to the receptionist and the stylist let me know that she wouldn’t be able to do that for me since it involves a haircut and they are only allowed 15 minutes and I am down for a 15 minute appointment, not the 30 minute window. They were nice enough to offer me to wait longer and come back at 3:00 or do half now and half later. There are some other barbers in the area not paid by time slots that can give you attention, I did want to try diesel out, but sad to say the experience was most underwhelming. The vibes in the shop are nice and the old school games are a cool way to keep your children’s (and you) attention for the wait times.

To: Management of Diesel Barbershop – Alamo Ranch Subject: Unprofessionalism and Poor Service – Saturday 8/9 Back-to-School Haircut To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service my son and I received at your Alamo Ranch location on Saturday , August 9, 2025. What should have been a simple, clearly communicated haircut for my son’s first day of middle school turned into one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had in a business. From the moment I sat down with your barber, I gave very clear instructions—bald to mid fade on the sides with a trim and textured top—and even showed her a picture of exactly what my son wanted. Despite this, she had him finished in about 15 minutes, using what was clearly a 1.5 to 2 guard all around, nothing close to the requested style. When I pointed this out, the front desk receptionist—the only employee who acted with professionalism and empathy—called the barber back over. To my disbelief, the barber flat-out denied that I had ever shown her a picture, even though the receptionist had witnessed me doing so. This blatant dishonesty was unacceptable. At that point, a roaming stylist who falsely claimed to be the manager stepped in. We both acknowledged that the haircut was indeed a 1.5–2 guard and not a mid-to-bald fade as requested. I again showed her the same picture. She offered to fix it, and I agreed, trusting that she now understood the desired style. Unfortunately, when she called me back over, my son’s haircut was still nothing like the requested look. To make matters worse, I noticed my son was visibly uncomfortable. Upon inspection, I found a rash on the back of his neck—something he has never experienced before. When I pointed this out, I was told he was “probably sensitive.” My son later told me she was pressing the clippers into his skin very hard. I suspect the clippers were either dull or poorly maintained. At that point, I told her to stop. On Thursday, August 15th, my wife went to speak to the actual manager, who was already aware of the situation. The manager was curt, unprofessional, and made no attempt at an apology. She simply handed over a refund without a word. She was supposed to have contacted us Tuesday 8/12. This entire experience—dishonesty, lack of skill, unprofessional behavior, and disregard for customer satisfaction—was unacceptable. I trusted your shop with my son’s important back-to-school haircut and was met with the opposite of the professionalism and quality you claim to provide. I will not be returning to Diesel Barbershop and will be strongly advising others in my community to avoid this location. If your business wishes to maintain any level of credibility, I suggest you review your staff’s professionalism, honesty, and skill level immediately.

While we always strive to provide a great experience, in this case we want to offer some clarity from our end as well.<br>Upon reviewing your appointment history, phone call, and conversations with our team, you signed in for a “quick service” and described the desired haircut multiple times as a “simple cut with a #1 on the sides.” This direction was confirmed in your initial conversation with the first stylist, again during your time with our manager who attempted to make adjustments, and reflected in the information provided during your call.<br>The image shared later did not align with a #1 guard or “quick service” request, and while we always do our best to meet evolving expectations, your confusion between a bald fade and a #1 guard can understandably affect the final result. Regardless, we did offer multiple chances to correct the cut, and our team—including our front desk, stylists, and manager—made good faith efforts to address the situation.<br>We regret that our team’s efforts were not well received, and we understand that sometimes a shop may not be the right fit for everyone. Diesel Barbershop aims to serve with skill, honesty, and respect—but we also recognize we’re not for everyone.<br>We wish your son a great school year and wish you the best moving forward.<br>

I am very new to the city of S.A. and this was the very first place I got a haircut at in the city. I was absolutely shocked 😲 😯 and very disappointed on the price for the service. I had a regular haircut. Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated. No hair design no beard trimming or anything else that would justify $40 for their service. Out of respect and kindness I left a $10 tip,... But, I can assure I have never paid that much money for my haircut before. Keeping in mind I come from NY. Queens NY. I decided in that very moment that I would never go back there. In NY I had a TRUE and amazing barber. By true Barber I mean he knew how to use a blade, not just siccers. He did clean and well beautiful line all around. Not the case here. Not even close. The guy here just used siccers. That was it. This was the simplest haircut I ever had (Intentionally, because it was my very first time trying them out). Summary: this was the simplest haircut I ever had. Yet, it was also the most expensive.

It's been a while since I've come back to this location, and I just gotta say I am happy to be back. The young lady in the front was very helpful and extremely friendly, made sure I was taken care of, and kept me fully updated with the wait time. , Priscilla(my barber) did a phenomenal job as well. 5/5 will be coming here again.

Today my boyfriend went in first time for a haircut and I was wondering why it was so quick and fast till we got home and I saw his haircut, it’s a total wreck and blotched all over. I did not expect the mess they left. Never again.

I was a first time customer here. I wanted a good quality haircut and beard trim. Yet if you want quality service when it comes to a haircut, don't come here. I paid $70 (full service + beard trim) plus $20 tip before the service. A total of $90. They left hair on my neck, left hair on the bridge of my ear, where it connects to my head. That is unacceptable. I should have gone back and have them fix it but i believe it is fitting I never go back to a Diesel Barber shop again. Even if they do offer a drink while I get my hair cut.

My boyfriend required a haircut after my poor attempt at it. I’m very thankful that Erika was able to salvage the mess I made! She was very thorough, and I appreciate her friendliness too. The barbershop is clean and well decorated. I appreciate that they take COVID seriously and require temperature scans (although they did allow one gentleman to take off his mask during his service). The television and games are appreciated too, as I’m sure they help during long wait times.
