Azenette was nice and professional! I love this school because it’s cheap! My barber in training is Ivan and he is funny and fun to talk to! He always cares about what I want ! I don’t know why some people give such bad reviews … If they screw up on your haircut, that’s because you decided to go to a school and not to a proper barber…. But since I don’t give a shit about my hair, This place is perfect! Amazing service five stars for sure! You must make sure you communicate as a client what you want though and be clear about it!

I want to commend Alamo City Barber College for how they handled a very unexpected situation with a former student who returned after withdrawing. The individual was clearly not in a stable mindset, and things could have gone in a bad direction. But what I witnessed was extremely impressive — management and floor supervisors reacted immediately, students supported one another, and the front desk staff stayed calm under pressure. Everyone worked together to keep the environment safe and steady. The team protected the learning atmosphere and the customer experience with professionalism and respect. You can’t predict every situation, but you can measure how people respond — and this school responded with leadership, unity, and integrity. I left with even more respect for Alamo City Barber College.

Places like these should not have their doors open seeing how they treat their students the good ones the ones that want a future and want to better their lives and they are being mistreated and treated like their passions and desires don't matter these are the places that we need to see as the places that crush dreams and only care about their own profits. There is no room for a place like this we should be helping someone stand for what they want not crushing their dream and making it seem like it's impossible to help them. If y'all can't help these kids make something more out of their hard lives than why in the hell do you have your doors open close them and put a out of business sign on your front door no person deserves this type of disrespect. It's hard enough in this world stop making it harder and if you can't do your job then just stop while you're ahead because my family and friends won't be silent as you mistreat one of our own. There will be more voices COMING SOON.

Honestly wouldn’t even have gave a star but had no choice in order to leave a review. For any future barbers, take your money elsewhere! They don’t teach you anything but take your money. This school and the instructors are a joke, especially the owner Jamal.

I do not recommend this school to anyone. Instructors are unprofessional. This school doesn't teach students properly. I went as a client and the front office staff is extremely unprofessional and charge outrageous prices. I saw the same students receiving clients and some students not receive any at all. This school needs to be regulated better by staff that has competence and the passion to actually teach rather than seeing people as a cash cow. Do not recommend. Especially Jamal

Jamal the owner is a joke. They are all for each other and the students money they do not care for their students development. We had our kid enrolled in this program and he would barely get any cuts meanwhile the instructor mr Andre had his personal clients in and out all day while these kids were literally sitting for hours waiting for 1 cut! Avoid this school at all cost go elsewhere with your tuition and get proper knowledge cause trust us this was a waste of time and money

Went here for barber college, worst school in San Antonio. Was the cheapest and that’s exactly what it felt like. Instructors don’t care about you or how you feel. Owner only wants the money no matter what. Only instructor I ever liked was Marissa. All the other instructors were petty, grudge holding, nosey, immature little teenage girls still. This school is poorly operated and you will learn nothing unless you go and figure it out yourself. STAY AWAY FUTURE BARBERS!!!!

Keeping in mind it's a school setting, they do a great job. Some of the barbers are more nervous than others. But they ask questions from other students or instructors if they need assistance. They are very friendly and try to please.

I brought my sister in to see Joey and he transformed my sister’s hair so beautifully that she felt like herself again. He listened to what she wanted very attententively and walked her through the process to make her as comfortable as possible. Her hair came out so beautifully, it was the dark rich brown that she wanted and a cut with layers that gave her some much needed volume. Joey did such an incredible job!! There’s more photos of her hair at @_joeystyles on Instagram
