I visited today for the first time and had a great experience with Helen. She’s so knowledgeable and experienced, and I loved how detailed she was. I’ll definitely be bringing my sons back to get their cuts with her. Worth every penny :)

Awesome "old-school" feel as soon as you walk in. Ladies were friendly and welcomed me as soon as I walked. Jessica greeted me with a smile. Took her time, making sure I like the cut. Definitely recommend it and will definitely will go there from now on.

One of my friends named Damián went to get a cut he specifically ask for a “low fade”but he got a high fade.and it looks really bad(it was a girl was a girl) he also said that it look like he went to sport clips he also said that he’s going to wear a hoodie Intell it grows out.(two stars cause he got a hot towel)

They messed my homie up, but it’s about the friends you make along the way that make it worth it, 10/10 clean fade but he wasn’t happy he said it was like sports clips tbh I liked he looked the green goblin from Clash Royal, ether way it’s not about how you look in the outside, it’s about how you look in your heart.

I've had my sides shaved here a few times over the last five years with my dad and grandfather. I called today to ask if the barber I usually saw was still there, and I was told he isn't. I then asked if anyone could shave my sides and was told they don't do women's cuts. Shaving my sides is not a women's cut, it's just a fade, and every where online says they do women's cuts anyways. I mean, I guess if y'all don't want money... Two stars since I was happy with previous service.

First time here and will probably be a regular customer from here on. Forgot the lady's name but not how well she cut my hair exactly as I wanted. Place is clean and barbers are friendly and professional. Plenty of seating. I do recommend this shop 100%!

Very friendly and homey feel here. You can get a great cut for $25 and they even offer hot towel treatments and shaves with straight razors. This is a real barber shop. The wait isn't too bad most days. They are also very connected to the community and regularly donate to the local little league teams. Love this place.

Casey did a great job. He was very calm and thorough. He did exactly as I asked him and was very respectful. Thank you for the service I will definitely come back again. Keep up the good work.

Went in on a Saturday after work for a haircut and beard trim. Was fairly busy, but they had a full complement of barbers/stylists, so the wait wasn't too long. My barber did a good job with the haircut, done to spec as I'd requested. The beard trim and shave, however, were another story - I'm not sure if it was a miscommunication, lack of experience, or honest mistake, but "Even up and take care of stray hairs" somehow turned into "Trim the mustache in a straight line 1/4" above the lip". My chops were trimmed as well, albeit unevenly, even after my barber consulted with another staff member about how he should approach it. The face shave was done with a straight razor, and took nearly an hour itself. The barber had to go over the same areas no less than four times for reasons unbeknownst to me. Even still, when I got home, I found that my chin and neck were still covered in stubble, and I had a number of small cuts and spots with razor burn. I ended up having to re-fade in my sideburns, re-trim my chops to even them up, and fully shave with a razor again at home - all things that I had already paid for at Travis Barber. Lastly, my barber ended the hour-long shave process with a vibrating massage of just about my entire upper body. While this wasn't necessarily uncomfortable, it certainly was unexpected. Maybe it was an unannounced special for first-time customers, but I didn't see any of the other patrons receive that service - in fact, they all seemed as confused as I was about it. All told, the folks at Travis Barber are pleasant enough, but I'm skeptical that they're all as qualified or experienced as they should be to perform the services they advertise. It's not as though they can put hair back, and a bad shave isn't the end of the world, but I'd have to recommend looking elsewhere for a trim in Porter.
