Getting a haircut from Missy is an experience that you will want over and over again. She is by far the sweetest and most personable stylist I’ve ever had. Aside from her AMAZING haircuts, the conversation, and personal attention she gives just enhances the entire time in the chair. She takes her time and really makes you feel good. After all, that’s what it’s all about right? I won’t let anyone else touch my hair. She is quite simply…the best.

I love the new spot! I have been going to Missy for quite sometime to cut my hair! She is the best! She recently moved to a location further away from me, but I will still travel to see her. She’s always consistent with my cuts, I always leave really happy, and on top of that…she’s very personable and friendly! If you’re in the area, I highly recommend going to see Missy!

This is the second time my boyfriend has visited this place as a walk in customer. The guys working are usually very professional and welcoming when you walk in. But the women working (Monica) has a very nasty attitude. We did notice it the first time but we always give the benefit of the doubt, people are allowed to have bad days. But this time was definitely the last time giving this place a chance. Immediately she’s huffing and puffing, smacking her lips, and on her phone CONSTANTLY. I have gone through the reviews and it proves more people would agree with me. The haircut itself was very crooked. My boyfriend walked back in to ask for it to be corrected and she made it seem like an inconvenience. I don’t think he will be going back.

I went many years being told I could not get a bald fade due to the shape of my head. When I came to state of the art, I left feeling like a brand new person. Every time I go, I look better than before because the barbers there strive to make each cut better than their last. Alfonso and Monica have really boosted my self-esteem, John as well has been loyal to each of his customers. This shop in whole is a place I recommend and plan to stick with for some time. Great place, great people.

We had the pleasure of meeting Alfonso and Gio today. My boys received great cuts. I’m picky about their hair cuts so I’m definitely satisfied with their hair. Thank you guys!! I’ve attached some pictures but it definitely doesn’t do justice. This is after wash.

State Of The Art Barber Shop is a conveniently located barber shop with a polite, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, I will never be returning there again. I went during a visit to Houston based on the good reviews, but had a horrible and very over-priced haircut experience. I spent over an hour getting a haircut that kept getting worse and worse, all while the AC seemed to be off on a 100+ degree day, and then paid more than I've ever paid for a haircut. I left there as fast as I could and immediately went somewhere else to have my poor patchy 'fade' fixed.

I’ve been getting my haircut with Ever for years. I recently moved near downtown but finding a barber you trust is tough. At times, I’ve had to get a haircut elsewhere, but it’s not the same. Ever brings years of experience to State of the Art Barbershop and is very accommodating with my schedule. He always keeps me looking fresh! Highly recommend the barbershop for any occasion, especially if you’ve got a date to impress. ;)

I’ve been getting haircuts by Ever for over 5 years now. His precision to cuts and fades are unparalleled and won’t be found any where else in the area. He knows exactly what would look good on you and offers great suggestions. The new shop is family friendly and has that cool modern feel to it but with a classic shop vibe. If you’re looking for a punctual barber that will cater to all your grooming needs, look no further because state of the art will not disappoint. The other barbers at his shop all seem real dope and great too.
