Today was my first and last time visiting this barbershop. I have been getting my hair cut by barbers for over 10 years. And as a woman it can be hard to find a comfortable barbershop to visit. When I saw that this location has several women on staff, I got excited and booked with Maya. Unfortunately this was a mistake. Maya was incredibly rough and cut me several times with the clippers throughout the haircut. My hair came out incredibly uneven, unblended, with not one line being straight. I asked for a tapered fade and was left with hard, uneven lines. Not a smooth transition. She also mistakenly cut a chunk out of the back of my head, so I'm left with a smooth bald spot! She did not mention this at all, and I was left to find it once I returned home! I was polite, paid, and left but this is completely unacceptable. If you're not able to cut textured hair, cut straight lines at all, or complete a smooth taper cut, you should not be cutting hair in a barbershop. This is one of the worst haircuts I've received in over a decade of visiting barbershops. I was left feeling incredibly disappointed and embarrassed. Management needs to seriously consider the quality of their barbers at this location. I should've looked closer at the other negative reviews because my results were on par with theirs.

Very rustic upbeat vibe that felt warm and sophisticated all at once. I asked for a walk in over the phone and they were packed but I got an appointment within the hour. Great place to relax and fall asleep. š Great service and wonderful talented people. Definitely recommend every time. They even serve beer there for a long wait and friendly staff

Iāve always had a hard time with my sonās haircut because of his hair texture but Maya was very understanding and exceeded my expectations. The whole staff was extremely friendly and we will definitely be back.

when i went in there they were welcoming until during the hair cut the barber was cutting my hair line and cut it to deep now i have line scares and she was mad i didnāt have any money for a tip but overall it was a decent cut still 1 star tho

Been visiting for about a year, Iāve had several different barbers here but was cut by Pynk today. It was an amazing experience, she is very confident and experienced, and besides doing a great haircut took the time to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed throughout the cut. Her area is bright and unique to her and her character and energy were contagious and exactly what I needed this morning.

Mr. Heber was fantastic, he was able to give me recommendations that made me look like a million bucks. He truly cares about the customers which only makes the brand look ever more appealing. I was used to hoping around your basic spots but for the money and kindness given thereās no place better. 10 out of 10 And the product recommendation was on point love the hair product he recommended

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Alisha is absolutely amazing! Iāve been going to her for about a year now, and every single time she gives me one of the best haircuts Iāve ever had. She is precise, detailed, and truly cares about making sure everything is perfect. Her work is consistent, and she always makes me feel comfortable and confident when I leave the chair. Honestly, sheās a godsend I couldnāt imagine trusting anyone else with my hair!

Update (October 10th 2025): After my original review, the owner reached out right away and handled everything with professionalism. He refunded my money, offered a sincere apology, and made things right by giving me the option to return to the barber of my choice at no cost. While I donāt plan to go back personally, I genuinely respect how seriously he takes customer feedback and how he ensures people feel heard. Original review: Iāve had great experiences at Vās Elyson before with Michell who is excellent. My recent cut with Irving was awful. It was uneven, not blended, and honestly embarrassing. Look at the pictures, no one should leave a barbershop looking like that, especially not one charging nearly $50. I didnāt want to cause a scene, so I just paid and left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and embarrassed. If you donāt have the skill or confidence, ask a coworker for help. Management should make sure they are providing quality barbers. Very disappointingā¦.. Thankfully, Eddy at Unique Cuts was able to fix it with real precision. He now has a loyal client.

Yāall better start asking to see your barberās license before they come at you with the clippers! My husband got the worst haircut of his life today by Irving, who apparently was cutting blindfolded. The fade was patchy, uneven, lopsided, and just overall a disaster. Iām appalled that they charge almost $50 for a haircut that looked more like I did it at home with kitchen shears. Above all, my husbandās confidence was shattered. He was too nice to say anything and get it fixed in the moment, but as soon as he got home and I took one look at him I sent him right back out to get it fixed. He is a father and a professional. He canāt be walking around with a less than mediocre haircut. He had to book an emergency appointment at almost 6pm and pay again at a different barbershop to get it fixed. I hope Vās barbershop does a better job at validating their barbers skills before letting them butcher more clients.

We took our 6-year-old son for a haircut, and it was a perfect experience! The barber shop had that authentic old-timey feel we were looking for, and the service was fantastic. He got a great haircut, a hot towel treatment, and even a little massage. For $28, it was more than just a haircutāit was a fun, memorable experience. Highly recommend.
