I went to this barber college today and had a terrible experience around the end of my haircut. Hassan was my barber. He was very welcoming and professional. I appreciated his customer service and patience. The issue came when the receptionist disrespected me. She is an older black woman. This woman approached me while I was in the chair to ask me why I needed the handheld mirror. I told her I'm trying to tell the barber how I wanted my hair and beard, which shouldn't be a problem. She told me to give the barber the handheld mirror back and I refused. I don't take orders from anyone and I don't tolerate any disrespect. She got in my personal space over a handheld mirror. As a customer I have the right to look at my hair with a handheld mirror. Hassan didn't have an issue with it. He asked me how did I like my hair and handed me a handheld mirror. What is the issue? That receptionist had no valid reason to bother me and disrespect me. I am a paying customer and I wasn't rude or causing any problems. She need to be terminated because she is a liability, very disrespectful, and very hostile. The other tall lady with large hands who I believe is an instructor is also rude, hostile, and not friendly. I've seen her be rude and disrespectful to the students and customers on numerous occasions. Here's my advice, Mind YOUR business and stop bothering and harassing good customers. Customers have the right to ask for a handheld mirror to view their haircut/beard, etc. They are there for that reason. Thank you again to Hassan, he did a great job.

The worst haircut I’ve gotten since I was 11. I came to this barber school because schools have given me good haircuts in the past. No oversight whatsoever by the “expert.” Instead the “expert” was an elderly woman who didn’t know anything about customer service, all she knew how to do was sit down and talk trash. I’m extremely disappointed. Don’t roll the dice. Go to a real barbershop. You’d even be better off at Supercuts.

To me.... Is the clean environment the students here take the time and they do it with care Miss P and Miss Kim are the best.... I've never had a bad experience here and I always look better stepping out than what I looked and stepping in.... If you don't believe me... Go see for yourself and just watch

This shop is a disaster. It’s not the student barbers — it’s the rude, unprofessional woman upfront and the total lack of management. I’ve called Michael, the owner, multiple times with no response. Until that changes, don’t waste your time here.

The staff is professional and courteous, service outstanding. I will definitely be returning the lady that is there daily Rocks her instructions to the STUDENTS was a amazing made me want to sign up! See you guys next wk!

Well, I've been coming for a few years and that Miss P is an amazing Instructor she knows some things she helped Dray through my cut and beard. The school was clean as always great vibe was on point. I look forward to my next cut.......as a customer some are mean and rude however this is a school and the students do the best they can and staff be on top of it I love coming here...peace out

I had a great experience at Michael's Barber Academy! David gave me an awesome gentleman’s haircut — clean, sharp, and exactly what I wanted. The lady instructor was amazing as well, supervising the entire time to make sure everything turned out perfect. Both of them were friendly, professional, and made sure I left looking my best. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a student here for a minute now, when I could not cut at ALL!!!!! I’m feeling better about my cuts and it’s definitely been a journey! The Education is Amazing and the Educators are amazing though some people this a Barber Shop we do our best just remember we are student. About to graduate and I hv been given the information to pass the 1st time my teachers stay on me and I get one on one and help me even when I get lost ……..

Terrible customer service and professionalism or lack thereof. The lady, who happens to be black, elderly and an instructor that is in charge of the school has no tact or respect when dealing with customers. When you arrive and on the phone talking she comes out rudely yelling and authoritatively say you got 30 minutes you need to hurry up. She speaks to customers and students abusively and has no oversight so she runs roughshod through out the establishment like a dictator. Next, someone came in to see a barber and she tells his personal business like “He barely comes to school” (paraphrase). She will threaten to kick you out for no valid reason arbitrarily. The barbers are beautiful and talented people but the lady instructor is breaking a lot of tort laws, ie. privacy laws….

I have been here for the 3 yrs and have turned out some AMAZING STUDENTS we get students from all over! Cutting hair isn't easy!!! Interpretation sometimes are difficult not to mention behaviors from students and customers weather good bad and indifferent. The goal is ALWAYS to be professional and provide outstanding service to our customers! HAIRCUTS are performed by the Students and Instructors will step in and help students complete the Haircut!
