I cannot say enough wonderful things about V’s Barbershop in River Oaks. I brought my dad here for a full grooming experience—haircut, hot towel shave, facial, and detailed trimming—and he said it was the best haircut and grooming experience he has ever had in his entire life. Dama was absolutely incredible. She paid attention to every detail, including nose hair trimming, ear hair trimming, and precise, careful finishing work that made him look and feel completely refreshed. Her professionalism, patience, and pride in her work were evident throughout the entire experience. The environment was clean, welcoming, and truly felt like a classic gentleman’s experience. My dad smiled the entire time and afterward kept saying how amazing he felt. It meant so much to see him relaxed, happy, and confident. Dama treated him with respect, kindness, and exceptional care. He walked out looking sharp, refreshed, and proud. We will absolutely be coming back, and I plan to bring him here regularly for Father’s Day, birthdays, and special occasions. Thank you, Dama and V’s Barbershop River Oaks, for giving my dad such a memorable and meaningful experience.

Disappointed by the service the front desk person switched me with another barber when I specifically asked for someone else and then had to wait for another half hour. They need to be more organized in scheduling. The barber who did my hair first time was really good thought

I walked in and knew I was in the right space. You know when the energy is just right? That's what I experienced. I didn't have an appointment but they were able to work me in. They offered beverages and continued to check in with me while I waited. I had a pretty bad experience at a DIFFERENT PLACE the day before...but based on what I observed, the skills here were ready and willing to help fix my situation. Enter Dama- warm, inviting, attentive, understanding, and man, her fine line detailing is unlike any other I've had. I can't recommend this spot highly enough. From start to finish I felt seen, heard, and supported. Thank you one thousand times over for seeing my vision and helping me get there.

Dama is great! My first time there and I saw some familiar faces and it made me smile. Everyone is so engaging and welcoming....very refreshing. It's a great area and the value for what you get is also refreshing for Houston. I definitely recommend!!

Absolutely the best barbershop experience in Houston! I’ve been getting my hair cut by Adam for over a decade, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with it. His skill and attention to detail are unmatched. Every cut is flawless, and he’s always ready with great suggestions to keep my style fresh and sharp. What truly sets Adam apart is the experience. The conversations are incredible, whether it’s Houston sports, movies, sneakers, or even thought-provoking geopolitical topics. You’ll never have a dull moment in his chair. Adam is also extremely accommodating and quick to respond if I ever need to adjust my appointment last minute. That level of flexibility and professionalism is rare and so appreciated. The entire staff is fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and always greeting customers with genuine smiles. This isn’t just a barbershop; it’s a place where you feel valued and leave looking your absolute best. Highly recommend!

Igor gives a clean, professional cut! The scissor cut on top and the taper on the sides and back are blended perfectly. You can tell he pays close attention to detail, highly recommend him!

After my son received an amazing boy’s haircut from Angie back in August, we came back for a second time in her chair, and it won’t be the last. Angie is calm and kind, and did an amazing job with my son’s thick hair and billions of cowlicks. I asked my son, age 6, how many stars he would give his new ‘do out of 5 stars, and he said “10”! Also the front of house woman is very kind and helpful and friendly.

Had the pleasure of being supported by Angie today. Once a year, usually around my birthday, I get full shave and hair cut. The process was relaxing and rewarding. Her attention to detail was not lost on me. From the way she greeted new people walking in the door to explaining what she was about to do (getting a hot towel, placing the hot towel etc). I actually tried her out because of the reviews and they aren't "inflated" claims she is what everyone said she be. Thank you Angie!

After going to three different barbershop. The receptionist at v’s was able to squeeze me in with only a 30 min wait. I got a seat with Angie and she was phenomenal. She did a amazing job, she is very well detail oriented. Needless to say I think I found my new spot and barber. Highly recommend this shop staff was super friendly.
