I’ve been coming here for a while now and always leave happy with my haircut. Never had a bad experience—definitely recommend if you’re looking for a solid spot to get your haircut. Ask for Eric!

Eric, the owner seems emotional and while I understand that he’s a republican, doesn’t believe in masks and loves to voice his opinions about all that; I might agree with him on some topics but, I don’t agree with outright rudeness and using your chair to express your anger towards a customer. Everyone else there seems so nice and pleasant. It’s surprising he’s able to get these nice people working there while he’s really not being all that professional at all. It almost seems like you either agree with him or go to hell at his business and deal with it because he owns it. I feel businesses should stay neutral and serve the client the best they can, otherwise you’re going to end up alienating the very people who agree with you but don’t want to be involved with something so intense.

Eric is very professional, patient and pay attention to details to the precise haircut style ,all the barbers are equally friendly and professional as well ,never had a problem or regret visiting Trend Setter, plus bookings online makes appointments much easier. Eric Always makes sure his cutting equipments are well sanitized and clean same as others at Trend Setter, overall a great experience 10/10.

Tremendously pleasant experience. Officially my favorite barber shop ever. Young and hip vibe (I am neither young nor hip), without the highfalutin price tags so common in fancy barber shops that try so hard to seem young and hip. Jess is good. Real good. First time I ever had a beard trimmed, shaped and prettied-up. It looks like I care about my appearance, which has not been the case since I stopped shaving over a month ago. The water in her spray bottle smells nice too.

Right off the bat Tristan greeted me and made a mom who was extremely nervous about venturing out to a different barber shop, feel completely at ease. He took us without an appointment, and gave the number to schedule appointments from now on. My son loves his cool haircut, loves the vibes from Tristan, and loves this barbershop. We’ll be scheduling monthly from now on.

Jess is our go to girl for the men in our lives! My boys are picky, so we settled on a big name shop, but we were still not fully satisfied. Stumbled across her in another setting, she mentioned her work and since we’re about supporting small, local businesses, we decided to give her a try. Best decision ever made! My son went from being a teen who didn’t care about his appearance to feeling like a million bucks after his haircut with Jess. His confidence alone was enough to move my husband and younger son over too. The RIGHT hair cut makes all the difference in how you feel...I believe we have found our Barbers match! Highly recommend her for the boys in your life!

There's a whole lot I can say about Trendsetters. To start with, they are the best in the game, best at what they do. Fellas if you are looking for a fresh fade, Trendsetters is the spot to go! Great location, kind and courteous, never a dull moment because the staff aren't just barbers, they're comedians too. They're always giving back to the community with charities and always support other locals. I've been getting my haircut from Eric for almost 15yrs now and I don't trust going nowhere else. So get your hair game right and go to Trendsetters Barbershop! I highly recommend!👌🏼

I’ve been getting my haircut by the owner Eric for a few years now and he does a great job in his craft. A cool down to earth guy who know how to cut hair. His staff are friendly and professional at what they do. I rarely hear any complaints about their business and that a credit on the hard work they perform. Just recently I took my son to get a haircut and Eric took the time to make my son feel comfortable and have fun at the same time. Great local spot for a good price.

Been getting my hair cut by Eric since 2013. I’m black, and when I moved to Houston I immediately went to 3rd Ward to try other recommendations by people I met. When I first walked in this shop, I was hesitant as most of the staff were Hispanic. I watched them cut a couple of other people’s hair and was impressed. I came back that next week and haven’t looked back. Best fades in the city and the guys here are like family. Eric knows more about my life than some of my friends, and I always look forward to the conversations and stories. When Eric is traveling, I’ve also gone to TJ who is also a great barber. Last comment I’ll add is that I work in a very professional setting and even though I’ve tried different styles, they’ve always done a great job making sure I look my best. If you’re new to Houston or looking for a better haircut come give them a try. Call to make an appointment to make sure you minimize your wait time.

I had a great experience the cut was nice and clean everyone in the shop was very nice polite and welcoming the guy who cut my hair took his time but wasn’t to slow I believe the barber that cut my hair was named Junior he really knew what he was doing I went in with long hair and out in no time look clean and fresh hell I looked good going in but looked even better coming out I felt good I’ll be coming back here for my cuts from now on and will definitely recommend this place to others
