I showed up at 8:25am this morning for my 8:30am scheduled haircut appointment. Edgar, once again showed up late to cut my hair. Multiple text messages from him adding time to his late arrival. By the time he arrived, he told me he had a client in the next 5-10min and that I will have to come another time. At this point I fired him. He is good at cutting hair but customer service must be a priority. He is also the one who opens the shop (you should arrive 30min before to prepare the biz for the day). This happened before in the same manner. No apologies. The client should always be the priority. The shop lacks leadership. They use to provide Topo Chico. The fridge has been sitting empty for the last several months. If you want to charge $50-60 for a men’s cut, you must keep up with providing a good quality experience. There are 15 other hair cutting venues in a 2 mile radius. Only the best will prosper.

The haircut was straight up just bad. I didn't get the haircut I requested. The Barber not only cutoff way more hair than I asked for, but he also wasn't skilled enough to cut my hair. Experience is key and in this case, neither skill nor professionalism met the moment. If you couldn't cut my type of hair, just tell me. Honestly goes a lot further than faking it. The request was to get a Taper Fade on the sides and to keep the majority of the hair on top for bulkiness, so only a trim on top was needed. The sides were supposed to be tapered bringing in the hair to not show the density difference between the top and the sides. As my haircut came to a finish, the result was horrendous. The blend on the transition for the taper on the sides near the ears, sideburn, and the back of the head, towards the top of the neck were straight trash. Lazy to be honest. The Blend was so bad, it looked like a toddler faded the sides and I couldn't believe the Barber was going to allow me to leave his Chair looking like that, putting a statement on the brand, the shop, and the chair I sat in, straight diabolical. Safe to say, I'll pass on future visits, I'll be headed elsewhere for the next cut.

Been going to Edgar for almost a year. Every cut has been great and consistent. The shop is chill and always a good conversation as well.

Hands down the best. The whole team is super friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. Josh always does an awesome job and takes care of me every time. The prices are fair, the service is great, and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere. Been going here for about a year. Josh is terrific. Always ready at the appointment time. Remembers how I want my hair cut. And we pick up our last conversation just like it was yesterday. Highly recommend.

First-time visitor to this barbershop, and the entire experience—from the moment I walked in to the moment I left—was great. Josh was ready for me right away and immediately started a conversation like we’d known each other for a while. He asked what I usually do with my hair, and after showing him a few reference photos, I told him I trusted whatever he thought would look best. The result was exactly what I was hoping for. Josh also took the time to check in along the way—asking things like, “Do you prefer it this way or that way?” and “Would you like this or that?” Very accommodating and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Josh was awesome, he kept our conversation going and was a great guy to talk to and the shop was just a good vibe. I highly recommend Josh to anyone, good price as well for the quality of the job. The shop is clean and in a very convenient location in the heights with lots of parking around it. I strongly recommend.

Josh is the best. I have curly hair which not everyone knows how to work with, but he consistently does a great job. He takes his time so it never feels rushed and always has good vibes in the shop. Highly recommend.

Josh is great! He does a great job of doing what I want and he remembers my cut every time even with all of his clients. Any time I ask for his input he has great ideas on what he likes or recommends. After bouncing around a few different barbershops in the Houston area, I found my guy. Great spot and the whole team is a good time to converse with.
