At 64, I decided to grow my first beard, so consequently, this was my very first time going to a barber. I am in love with the whole process! The face pampering is worth it! James Britton treated me like the newbie I was and made my experience incredible! I am so looking forward to my next appointment!

This is the best barbershop in the city! I've lived in the midtown/downtown area for almost three years and I'm very glad I found this barbershop. Jonathan is my go to barber but every barber here does great work. The customer service and atmosphere is top notch. High quality work with good prices!

Ivan does a great job on listening to what the client wants. He takes great pride in his work and he makes sure to give you the haircut that you want. He takes his time and doesn’t rush through just to get people in and out the door. I would highly recommend getting your next haircut at Cuts and Bruises. I also received my first straight razor shave and it was extremely relaxing and came out very smooth. 10/10 would recommend. Great staff, great atmosphere, great haircuts, and great prices.

Danny is awesome - she has been cutting my hair at cuts and bruises for over two years. She is the best barber I’ve found and the reason I finally found a place to be a repeat customer. Great attention to detail, communicates well, and treats haircuts like a spa experience. I have recommended her and will continue to recommend her to all that ask.

My husband didn’t get to get in with his barber back home so he booked an appointment with Danny here. She did an exceptional job on his hair. All the workers are very precise and take their time and don’t rush through their customers hair, that’s what it’s all about. Making your customers feel like they are heard, and that’s what cuts and bruise’s definitely does!!! This place is such a vibe and the workers are very friendly!! Next time we’re back in Houston and my husband doesn’t get to get in with his normal lady we will definitely be coming back!!! We loved it!!!!

Ivan is the best barber! The last two times I’ve visited Houston I’ve made it a priority to pay Ivan a visit for a world class haircut and beard trim. He opened the salon on Black Friday even though it was closed to accommodate myself and other loyal clients. Not only that he texted me 30 minutes before my appointment to tell me I could come earlier than my 9AM appointment. His cuts are spot on excellent quality and my beard looks great for no shave November. Thank you Ivan!

Was looking for a barber close in midtown. Cuts and bruises gave me a great experience! Very friendly people and great environment to be in with great price packages. Went to Ivan who was very skilled with the clippers! Highly recommend scheduling a cut with him. 5 stars for sure

Love my haircut! KV is great and when I wanted to change the way the cut was going it was an easy fix. I felt super comfortable and loved the simple design of the barbershop. I wish KV had taken the time to make sure both sides of my fade was even, but the next client arrived so I felt a little rushed.

Initially, I was very nervous because this was my first experience at a Barbershop, but after my first visit, I have nothing but great things to say about Cuts & Bruises! My friend suggested I book my custom undercut ("The Knockout") with KV and she exceeded all my expectations (see pictures for reference). The Midtown location's exterior is unassuming, but the interior is clean with classic decor. I felt incredibly comfortable and welcomed my whole visit. I will continue to recommend Cuts & Bruises Barbershop to anyone I meet!

I went to get my haircut done and got the uppercut option. They did a good job and took there time to ensure a great job. My option included a hair and beard trim with hot towel and shampoo which was really good. It all depends on what you want, but whatever you get they will do a good job. You can also get just the haircut and shave which is the city slicker option. Overall everything was great. KV did a great job!
