I have been going here exclusively for 4 years because their barbers are so good. Jonathan is the GOAT. This place has good vibes and a nice atmosphere. All the barbers are nice and great at their job. They usually have a movie or sports game playing and it is a nice way to relax. This is a real premium experience.

Chophouse – West University is awesome. You are greeted as soon as you walk in, the shop is always clean, and they offer free refreshments while you wait. Trevor does a great job every time. He is very professional, takes his time and the cut is always on point. If you want a sharp cut and a great experience, ask for him.

yooooo! trevor is the man! i've been searching for a barber near me who can cut asian hair and he is one of the few that can get the look i'm going for (no disrespect to the other barbers. it's just that i need to have *something* going for me looks-wise, so my standards are high). and now people ask me if i'm a kpop star! and i'm not even korean! but seriously, he knows how to handle the nuances of giving a fade/fauxhawk/etc. to somebody with coarse, straight, thick hair, and he's also mad chill and easy to talk to. book him!

I’ve been coming here for quite some time, and every visit has been a great experience. Damian Molina is hands down the best barber I’ve ever had. Not only is he incredibly skilled, but he’s also genuinely personable and easy to talk to - it feels like catching up with a good friend every time I come in. Damian takes his time to make sure every cut is perfect and consistently uses high-quality products that smell amazing, which really elevates the entire experience. I can’t recommend Damian and this barber enough. Highly recommend!

I recently had my first haircut in Houston, and I’m thrilled I chose this spot! Trevor did an amazing job; he asked exactly what I wanted and nailed it on the first try, even exceeding my expectations. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, making the entire experience enjoyable. Additionally, the pricing is great, and the location is very convenient. My son William is 11 and was ready for a new hairstyle, but he was understandably nervous. He has long, wavy hair and knew he wanted it shorter on the sides and longer on top, just out of his eyes, but beyond that, he wasn’t sure. He’s had one or two really bad haircuts in the past, so you could tell he was anxious. Damian took the time to really talk with William and put him at ease. He asked about his activities, how much time he wants to spend getting ready in the morning, and even who he admires and likes their hair. They looked at photos together, and Damian made the whole experience feel thoughtful and collaborative rather than rushed. He even found out William had a baseball game after the cut and joked about how MLB players are superstitious about getting haircuts before games, which completely won William over. William absolutely LOVED his new style. He left feeling happy and confident, and as a fun bonus, he went on to hit an out-of-the-park home run that day. Must have been the haircut! We highly recommend Damian for both his skill and his patience, especially with kids. He truly goes above and beyond.

Based up on previous reviews, I scheduled a haircut appointment for my son yesterday with Damian. I was beyond impressed with the entire experience. The shop is immaculate and tasteful, and we were greeted immediately by one of the staff. Damian was amazing with my little guy — his experience with children is abundantly clear. He took the time to explain the tools he would use and ensured my son was completely comfortable. Additionally, as my son would get distracted or start to get antsy, Damian was great about keeping him engaged. The haircut was perfect, and the experience was seamless. Chophouse is a lovely establishment. I’m so glad we came here and I look forward to our next visit!

I spent years going to sports clips, great clips, or any salon I could find. After going to Chophouse, I will never go anywhere else. Jonathan is who I go to, but I would trust any of the guys here. They are all extremely meticulous and no strand of hair goes untouched. Jonathan is so I good, I don't even need the mirror to know he did a bang up job. They are little more expensive than others, but in my opinion it is worth the price and more to know my hair always looks good.
