The atmosphere at this establishment is more than welcoming and warm. If I could, I would do more than 5 stars. The professionalism and kindness that was displayed is top notch.. we are going to be reoccurring customers!. Thank you A1!! Thank you Mrs.K!!

He was nice, and did a good job on my son's hair. I appreciate him calling me in advance to let me know that he had something going on. And that he had to reschedule. It have been challenging to find a good barber. Most people are unprofessional, charge to much, and take a long time. I don't mind waiting, but I don't want to sit somewhere for hours unnecessarily.

I will not be back. Kuntry was polite, nice and did try his best, however, I left wishing I had not came here. I showed him a picture of how I normally get my cut for him to understand what I was asking and he was still unable to pull it off. My edge is uneven and not as clean as I hoped since he didn't use a blade afterward. He didn't cut the hairs behind my ears and he bragged that my fade in the back was "flawless" but it is also uneven as my edge and is not blended very well at all. Sorry to the rest of the barbers here, but Kuntry talked a big game and does not measure up.

Brought my son here the other day and the barber did a great job and didn’t mess up his hairline. Saw me really quickly and didn’t have to wait all day. Even took us after 6pm though they close at 7pm. Clean environment and no disrespectful language. Kid friendly and woman friendly

Made me feel sexier when he was done. I loved my taper fade and how he listened to my concerns. He was very attentive and made comftoble because I'm EXTREMELY picky about who touches my head. Choose Ross for your next visit.

I have been going to this barber shop for the past 2 years! Where I’ve only allowed one barber to cut my two sons hair and that is “BIG M”. He is one of thee “BEST” barbers in Dallas TX. This man devotes his heart and soul into his haircuts. He is very friendly, professional, and his haircuts are amazing. He always ensures a great “BIG M EXPERIENCE” I have been living in the Dallas area for over 10 years. I’m originally from New Orleans LA and I have NEVER found a barber with talent and prestige like him. My sons literally won’t go to anybody now but him! Literally everyone in this barber shop is very professional and friendly! If your looking for a great haircut and your looking to get right? Stop by A1 Barber and ask for “MY BARBER- BIG M!”

There are several things I would like to discuss, but I will only touch on 3 due to the fact that this is a cut I received a month and a half ago and some details I don't remember as well as others, so I won't even mention them to be fair. Here are the details I do remember. Cleanliness: For the most part it seemed cleaned. I wasn't super observant of the shop, but it didn't scare me away. I will say that the place needs some updates. Barber: I can't remember his name; I believe it was Big something, and not to be rude but he was a big guy if that helps identify him. He was about 10 minutes late. I believe he went to go get food because he was carrying something in a bag in a styrofoam to-go plate. During the cut he spoke with the other barbers in the shop, which is fine to me. I'm used to that atmosphere of cutting and talking. He proceeded to cut and was very heavy handed. I know kids complain about things like that, but i figured it was because they were kids. This is the first time since I was a kid that i had to mention to a barber who had to have seen my head sway every time he ran across my head. He eased up for a while, apologized and laughed about how others say the same thing. If this is a trend (an unpleasant one) then I recommend some sort of practice sessions in order so clients don't complain. In addition to that, when he went to give the bald effect on the side for the fade he dug into the side of my head which was not comfortable. I would think there are clippers that can give you the bald effect without having to apply so much force or use razors if need be. Finally to give a straight edge look, for this he did use a razor. Unfortunately, as I feared he would do, he left razor cuts around the forehead region. This is due to his heavy hands, which is dangerous when wielding a sharp object. That was my 2nd time getting an edge up like that, but the 1st time was by another barber shop, but I didn't have razor cuts afterwards by the other barber shop. So that's how I knew something was right about how he use the razor. The edge up was slightly off and pushed back as well. In the end I mentioned something about the cut, he offered to fix it, but I told him it was fine. I was glad it was over and quickly wanted to leave. Cashier/manager: I can't say if the guy that did the card transaction held either of those titles, but on the site I remember it saying $20, but when I went to get charged it had $25 on the screen. The guy didn't say much, nor was he smiling or asking how I liked my cut, even though I'm sure he heard me mention things to the barber. I was already in "let's get the heck up out of here" mode so i just paid and left. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience. If the manager sees this, hopefully he changes some things to make his future patrons more likely to return. Also speaking to the barbers and maybe even testing their skills to confirm whatever license they have is still up to standards. No I would not like a second haircut, nor do I want a coupon. Nor due I want a refund, because I did get a haircut and I don't want to take food out of someone else's mouth. I believe that Jehovah can bless us where others fall short to do so. To the other barbers that work there, you all could be excellent barbers, so I do apologize for this review I am posting which discourages some people from visiting. I hope the shop progresses and does better.
