If you’re looking for a real, old-school barber experience with modern skill, Matt is your guy. From the moment you walk in, the spinning red-white-and-blue barber pole catches your eye — yes, an actual classic barber pole, not some trendy reproduction. It immediately sets the tone that this place respects the craft. Matt gave me a great haircut and beard trim. He took his time shaping the beard without rushing. He clearly understands face shapes and what actually looks good on different guys — not just “whatever’s trending on TikTok.” If you’re in the area and want a proper haircut and/or beard trim from someone who still believes in the tradition (and literally has the pole to prove it), go see Matt. You won’t be disappointed.

I've been going to see Matt since before he opened his own shop. Not really sure how many haircuts I've gotten from Matt, but I had way more hair when I started. I have never had a bad visit to his shop. I would recommend to all guys that want a quality cut with a professional and personable barber. It helps that I'm also from Minnesota and love talking with a fellow native.

So damn glad I found Matt! I am 70, a little ragged after busting up both shoulders. Have a difficult time shaving so I been all out Grizzly Adams for a while. Made an appmt and have nothing to regret. 1st, great jam, so good that I had a hard time sitting still. This old body wanted to move. Great personality! made my Manpampering a fun time. Hot towels, smooth razor shave. hair trimmed up good! Well priced for the service. Total professional. plan ahead because Matt is booked up but will get you in that week. His lady is getting into the business, gonna send my wife to her. Just a great day! Thank you Matt!!!

New customer, or at least tried to be. Found Matt’s online. No way to make an appointment so I went there. No signage so it took a while to find him. As I walked in he asked “Do you have an appointment?” I said I could find no way to make one. He said, “Sorry, I’m booked up”, I am very happy for the guy that he has plenty of business and wish him success. Just too difficult for me.

Matt has been my barber for 5 years, ever since moving to the area, and I can honestly say I will never go to another barber. Not only does he give extreme attention to detail and is very precise with his craft, but over the years he is genuinely become more than just a barber and an actual friend that I can depend on. It doesn't matter how young or old you are or what type of cut you want, Matt will have you getting compliments non-stop!

Matt is the best guy ever. He gets you scheduled real quick, is actually affordable, and is a good guy to chat with. He uses a real razor blade to clean up real precisely and actually gives a quality but quick cut. I also like the one chair salon as its less overwhelming than a really busy place. Always (indoor) parking and location is fantastic too. Can’t be happier to have a continuous place to return finally.

Matt’s barbershop is an amazing place to go. Matt takes care of your needs while always staying up to date and sharpening his craft. Every time I go there I can expect the same great consistency that I got last time I went there. Matt makes sure he gets to know all his customers so he can provide the personal haircut that one would expect.
