Moved here from NY. I was recommended Michael (Hawkins Barber Shop) by a colleague. I got an awesome taper fade and Michael was super friendly. He listens and takes his time. I will keep coming back for sure. A few logistical things if you are seeing him for the first time: 1) highly recommend booking an appointment with him 2) his set-up is in a building labeled as "Sola Salons." You walk in and he has his own suite (#6).

Michael is a master of his craft and just a great dude. I know when I come here I’m gonna have a great conversation and leave totally stoked about my haircut. Cannot recommend Hawkins highly enough!

Michael is very good at what he does. Very detail oriented and consistent. I have always been very happy with the results - he listens and delivers. I find it hard to believe there is a better barber in Nashville.

Michael has been my barber for at least a decade, and there's no other person in town I would trust at this point. Every haircut seems better than the last, and Michael always pays meticulous attention to detail. (He's also a great guy to talk to while you're in the chair.) Book an appointment and find out for yourself!

Michael rules! He’s been cutting my unruly mop for a few years and now that he has his new location it’s even more convenient. Location is great, parking is easy, he’s a great hang and I always walk out looking way better than I did walking in.

I’ve had haircuts all over the place. I usually end up disappointed dealing with what I get and trying to make it work but with my style and hair type it starts to become a pain without the right cut. Michael cut my hair exactly how I described and wanted, and if you like old school haircuts, slick backs and pompadours, I’d say this is the only guy to go to in Nashville. The dude knows what he’s doing.

Michael has been cutting my hair and I love it. I have never seen another barber that takes the time to get it right. He has made cutting hair into a true art form. It amazes me every time he cuts my hair. Try him, you won’t be disappointed!!!

This is the best barber shop in Nashville. Not that I can vouch for any others because this is the only one I’ve been to since I moved to Nash. I started getting my hair cut with Hobby before they moved into this location and I’ve never had a bad cut. Been meaning to write a review once the shop opened. It’s a great old school vibe. Just walking in you know you’re going to have a good experience and even better cut. Hobby is great, always good conversation, and a great haircut. I always get complements. I’ve referred a few friends there and they’ve always thanked me for telling them about Hawkins. So if you’re new to town or looking to switch it up. Check out it out!
