NYC prices for subpar service. Now that’s a hoot. $60 for a haircut? I don’t think so.

Sorry you were unhappy with the service, unlike the hundreds and hundreds of other clients who are more than happy! Our cuts are far from $60 so not sure what you are taking about there pal, but there is a great clips in the local shopping center that may be more in your budget. If I can offer you some advice, maybe ask price before hand to make sure it’s not breaking your bank buddy. All my barbers are expertly trained, we wash everybody after the cut, straight razor shave their neck, and style them so I’d say far from subpar. You expect top tier service and want to pay bear minimum. Then you bash a small family owned business because it cost a little more then you may be used to paying, not because you got a bad cut or had a bad experience , now that’s a hoot!

I took my son there on a Sunday morning, which was the only time we had available. We ended up booking with a trainee because that was the only staff open, and we figured we’d give it a try since we’d had a good experience here before. Unfortunately, while I was occupied, the trainee accidentally cut the back of my son’s head and he was bleeding. My son mentioned it hurt, but no one informed me during checkout. I only realized the situation afterward when we had already left. I feel that as a parent, I should have been told immediately and at least received an apology. While I won’t be using this trainee again, I still appreciate the shop and will continue going to the main barber who does a great job. This was just a disappointing experience.

I am very sorry about this. I have talked to the apprentice about the incident and we will work hard to prevent from happening in the future. He is still learning and trying to protect his craft and make a career (‘for himself. I agree that you should have been notified and I informed the barber to always let clients/ parents know of anything like this immediately. Our clients always come first at Old Town Barber Co. and we work hard to give the best results. Hopefully after your next visit we can earn a 5 star review being that reviews do impact our business so greatly.

Phenomenal first time experience. My 10yo son came in with long hockey hair and got it all chopped off. He left so happy with the how they cut and styled it.

Of all the haircuts I have had and I will be 80 this summer, I’d rate this the worst. No rhyme or reason on how my hair was cut. Seriously uneven. No eyebrows trimmed. My cut took less than 10 minutes. $38 + $5 tip and I regret going here. I am new to the area and I would not recommend this shop. More interested in watching the motorcycles driving by. Actually interrupted my haircut to go look out the window. Not happy, wasted money.

Love coming to this barbershop. If you enjoy a traditional barbering experience like me, then this is the place for you. The barbers create a fun and welcoming atmosphere — they always have me laughing. My barber, Juan, is incredibly skilled and has a great eye for style. He knows exactly how to achieve the look I’m going for and pays attention to the little details. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for that old school barbering experience and get a quality cut!

I was taken care of TJ who did a phenomenal job listening to my request as well as offering his advice and suggestions for ways to make my cut look that much better. The staff is friendly and the environment is welcoming. As someone who isn't particularly big on conversation during a haircut, the conversations were flowing amongst the shop. I'm coming back for my next cut!

New customer. Very difficult to find a barber and not a stylist these days. No walk ins in most barber shops. Scheduling was not difficult. So not like that they ask for credit card in order to confirm appointment on their app.

I stopped in for a cut this morning after meeting the owner, Jesse, in the parking lot the day prior. This was Mentality's first week of operations and the shop looked great. TJ fixed my hair up and really took the time to make sure that I was happy with the cut. Both of the guys working were chill and easy to talk to. All around 5/5 experience and I will definitely return in the future. Mentality is the perfect addition to this renaissance of 'downtown' Eagle.
