I started coming here when they first opened, originally just for my beard. From day one, the level of care, precision, and professionalism stood out. David and Bobby don’t just “cut hair” — they take pride in their craft. Every visit feels intentional. They listen, they pay attention to detail, and they make sure you walk out feeling sharp and confident. What means even more to me now is that I bring both of my sons here. There’s something special about being able to take your boys to the same place you trust for yourself. They make it easy and seamless every time — patient with the kids, welcoming, and consistent. It’s not rushed, it’s not transactional — it’s a genuinely great experience. In a world where quality and service can slip over time, Throne PDX has stayed steady. This is my favorite barber shop in Portland! I’ve been going here for over five years and Bobby exceeds all my expectations. Now I just tell him to do what he thinks is best and my hair has never been complimented more frequently.

I came in on January 2nd with high expectations and I was deeply disappointed. I come from the east coast and over there I can spend $100 get my beard trimmed, neck shaved, haircut, hot towel, hair washed, paraffin wax on my hands and alcohol. All while being very comfy and not rushed in the slightest. Here I spent the same was told I only had 30min to get my hair done, then it was poorly done. My beard I had told the gentleman that I wanted to keep the length but just shape it up and he cut off nearly half of my beard I was so in shock I didn't know what to say. Then that was it, nothing I would have expected from a place called throne who says we should live like kings. A very bad experience all around unfortunately. It took me this long to write a review because I just didn't know what to say. My appointment was at 2:30pm and my wife had booked it under her name Teresa.

Throne is a fantastic barbershop. There is no ego or bravado here. Just a solid place for a solid haircut. And I can't say enough about Sang. I'm picky about barbers and he's a true talent and incredibly consistent. I regularly get compliments on my hair and I've recommended many friends to him and they've all been impressed and happy with his cuts. An additional perk is that you get a free drink if you want (both alcohol and NA options are available)!

Leather chairs, straight razors gleam, This ain’t Supercuts, this is king-cutting regime. Shoutout my guy Bobby Rothschild, hands steady and true, If you want your fade flawless, that’s the man you pursue. Clippers hum precise, like aerospace tech, Laser-clean lines, every detail in check. Hot towel science, steam timed just right, Modern tools, old-school soul, dialed in tight. They map your head like a blueprint plan, Geometry, symmetry built for a grown man. Yeah, it costs a bit more, let’s get that straight, But so does a prime-cut steak on a heavy plate. You paying for craft, not a ten-minute hack, You leave looking sharp, confidence stacked. Full bar in the house yeah, read that again, They’ll pour something special, tailored to when You want to slow down, let the clippers sing, Because here’s the whole point you live like a king. So ask yourself, man, when it’s time to upgrade, Do you want fast and forgettable… or throne-level made? Throne Barbers. Respect earned, crowns adjusted. I have been coming to the Throne on Williams for about 3 years now, with both David and Bobby having been excellent barbers in that time. You can tell after a few visits there that they attract people who are attentive, considerate, and take pride in their work. It’s so nice to find a shop I am willing to be loyal to in Portland. Would recommend.

I've been coming to Throne for about 4 years. I was hesitant after my regular barber moved, but Bobby has been giving me top notch cuts and I will continue going to him every time.

Been coming to Throne for a while now, and they’re terrific. I’ve been bringing along my two young sons to see David regularly and he does a fantastic job for all of us every time. I spent nearly a decade going from shop to shop in Portland trying to find a good, reliable, high quality haircut and was so glad when I finally walked into Throne. Highly recommended.

David cut my hair today and executed exactly what I asked for. The conversation was great and I had a great time. I’ve had multiple cuts here and have never been disappointed. David is definitely someone I would recommend to my friends.
