if you want a pixie cut that actually looks cool and not like a karen, you’ve got to go see sadie. they saw my vision and made it even better for my specific hair texture. i’ve had a pixie for a long time and this is by far the best it’s ever looked!! i couldn’t be happier, and i’ve got so many compliments on it too.

Sadie cut my hair and I have nothing but great things to say. On top of the haircut being EXACTLY what I wanted, she sat with me and listened to what I wanted and made suggestions as well. I tend to be an introvert so I don’t talk much in the chair but she made me feel comfortable. I will be returning!

Had a haircut with Haley and not only were they super friendly and patient with my explanation of my hair idea, but also cut my hair to be exactly how I hoped it'd look and helped it get styled so I looked good for an event I needed to attend. Super grateful for the opening they had on their books today. The Hawthorne location specifically is super convenient to wander to if you're nearby or strolling the street. All around a smooth and enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend.

I won't see anyone but Shady. He is fantastic, professional and personable. I only get my hair cut/trimmed maybe once or twice a year and he always does exactly what I want, perfectly. Plus he's hilarious 😂 Adding a photo of me and my fresh, postpartum haircut!

My hairstylist was a wonderful person, and we had a great convo during our appointment. However, I am so confused as to how I ended up with a pixie cut, given that I asked for a wolfcut (reference pictures included below) and my hair was around collarbone-shoulder length coming into the appointment. My stylist was a level 5 (most experienced) so I admit the cut is well done, but I was left in shock when I realized how short it was. I truly thought my hair was just clipped up in the back until we finished. I can't help but feel disappointed, especially because I wanted a low maintenance haircut and the wolfcut has always been that for me, but pixies are much more difficult to manage and the grow out process is a nightmare. I really wish I had been asked more about the length throughout the process because the outcome was very jarring to me.

I had a great experience. My stylist was Nate. I came in the salon with a loose idea of what I was wanting. They really listened and understood what type of cut I was going for and asked clarifying questions to ensure that I would walk out with what I came in for. They also were very calming which helped because getting your hair cut into an entirely new style could be daunting at times! Definitely will be coming back!

Nate has been creating absolute magic with my hair for almost two years.They have guided me through different stages of grow out, many different styles and colors. They are always so attentive to my needs and meticulous in ensuring it is perfect before sending me out the door. They continuously exceed my expectations. Each time I leave their chair, I feel like I’ve received the best cut and service ever!!! They are hands down the BEST Barber I’ve ever had! They also work wonders on curly hair. They have gorgeous curls and know how to work with them! 10/10 highly recommend if you’re looking for a Barber you’ll feel safe, heard, seen and valued with. Let me start off by saying I REALLY don’t like leaving bad reviews. On Sunday (March, 17th, 2024) I went in to Rudy’s to see if they had any time available to trim off dead/split ends, they did and I got a really nice haircut, I hadn’t had my hair professionally cut in a VERY long time. She did a wonderful job on it, during this time we talked a little about doing some color on the tips of my hair (Pastel purple) We didn’t have time to do it the same day as the hair cut-and I would’ve had to go get money because I wouldn’t have had enough on me anyways. We decided to book the color appointment on the next Thursday (Thursday, March, 21st, 2024). When I came in I showed her pictures of what I wanted exactly. I would’ve been fine with lightening the areas with any means necessary and money was not an issue, because I had saved for it. but apparently time was an issue, I’m not sure why the appointment would’ve been booked so late if lightening first couldn’t have been done if needed. This time the appointment was very awkward and the small talk was sort of uncomfortable. She gave me two options of how we could go about getting this type of purple in my hair, (I’m not sure if giving me an option was the best idea, I came to her- a professional to make this happen because I wouldn’t know how to do it), I picked one and she dyed it once, it was very light and wasn’t noticeable in my hair, so we dyed it again and by the time it was done it was around 40 minutes past closing time, still the dye was barely noticeable and very clearly NOT the right color of purple. It felt like when I said anything I was being annoying or a pain to her. At this point she had me walk with her to the counter, I thought because it was past time to close we would try again at the next available time and this is when she said “I think it turned out great”- which sort of stunned me. I didn’t even know what to say. She asked if it looked good and I said “yeah”, mostly because I just wanted to get out of there and not cause more problems to her, I didn’t know what to say in the moment, so I just kept my mouth shut, I paid and I tipped 20%. We made another appointment 8 weeks out for a balayage. Note: I work in a place entirely full of women and not one noticed that anything happened to my hair because it’s barely even noticeable and also it’s NOT the right color of purple. Here’s a picture of my hair before the color (1), after the color (2), and the picture of the color I wanted(3). (Exact photo) I don’t think this is worth what I paid, that being said I would’ve been comfortable paying whatever amount necessary for what I actually wanted. EDIT: April 2nd, 2024 As of a couple days ago the color is almost completely faded and gone. Note: I haven’t even shampooed my hair enough times since it was dyed-(Thursday-march/24th/2024) to have the color almost none existent (it’s only been 9 days!). I also added a photo of almost no color being present. Also as of this edit I still have not received a call from the Hawthorne location like the reply on this review said. Update: 5/14/24 still no call/voicemail from them
