I have been coming to this place for almost 3 years now and I love it, the hairstylist always want to give you exactly what you want, and they will try there best to do what you ask when it comes to doing your hair. I will always recommend them to people a they are so welcoming and friendly.

Lionel gave me a great haircut, and really listened to what I wanted. Update: Again an amazing cut from Lionel, he is great at listening to what you want, and making sure it will work for you. Also Lionel is so nice, and fun to chat with while getting service.

My kid recommended and booked an appointment for me with Lionel. I'm visiting from NY and I loved my experience. Lionel listened and was patient and helpful with his advice. I'm loving my cut. The layers are perfect and my hair is already so much healthier. Natural or styled, both look great now. We cut off about 4 inches. Highly recommend and am coming back during my next visit. Update: went back for a visit late this past September and had to see Lionel again. This time we added front side bangs to see how the curls would do. Was great to start, it's now early November and the flip to the other side is even better as it's growing. I just love my hair journey!! See you in February, Lionel!!

Absolutely loved my cut from Lionel! He nailed the asymmetrical fade exactly how I envisioned it — clean, sharp, and stylish. Super skilled, easy to talk to, and clearly knows his craft. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who really listens and delivers. 👌💇‍♂️

Ashton was awesome! I came in with semi vague details since it's been a year since I got a hair cut and they gave me exactly what I was after! 10/10 if I wasn't moving this week I'd definitely already be scheduled for my next appointment

Summer at the NW 21st Rudy’s in Portland is hands-down the best hairdresser I’ve ever had. This review is not for the barbershop as a whole as I cannot speak for the skill of the other hairdressers at this establishment. This review is for Serra. I went in for a long haircut and wanted to keep my hair long with long layers. I was very clear with what I wanted, explained it verbally and showed where I my hair I wanted it cut. Serra blatantly disregarded what I said and cut off way more than I asked for. I did not realize what she had done until it was too late. Even if I had wanted it that length, which I clearly did not, the cuts were blunt and uneven. I urge anyone with long hair to proceed with caution if you book an appointment with Serra. This experience was very traumatic and now I have to go to another salon to have them try to fix the mess that was made. I was very very attached to my long hair and this experience will scar me for getting my hair cut in the future. The manager tried to fix my hair and hide what Serra did but unfortunately it is so bad it cannot be hidden. This is the last last time I will ever go to Rudy’s. They should be financially responsible for me having to go get another haircut to try to fix this mess. Attached is a photo of the final product after it had been “fixed” as I was told we would be able to keep some length in the front… I was also told no one would be able to notice it…
